It was my first time after high school living on my own over 400 miles away. It was a great segway to get the feel of a larger school since there were only 26 in my graduating high school class. All my engineering classes were small, interactive and made some amazing friends and later in life great professional networks. I would suggest to go to a community college your first 2 years to get all your general classes out of the way and then transfer to a larger university to finish out your college degree.
