About Institute of Clinical Acupuncture & Oriental Med

If you are interested in the holistic healing arts of acupuncture, herbal treatments and other modalities of traditional Chinese medicine, you can receive an excellent education at the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The institute’s academics focus on educating and training you in a professional setting. You will begin your education by engaging in 2,160 hours of classroom instruction, learning the essentials of:

  • Holistic Healing’s Scientific Foundations
  • Acupuncture
  • Herbology
  • Biomedicine

Once you complete your classroom work, you will go on to complete 1,080 hours of intensive clinical training. Instructors are licensed professionals who guide you in performing holistic treatments for the institute’s clientele. By completing the program’s clinical rotations, you will gain invaluable work experience in administering treatments and the general operating of a professional clinic.

Students who complete the program will earn a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine.

To begin your journey to becoming a holistic practitioner, you can apply by submitting a personal essay, official transcripts and immunizations records. Additional admissions requirements include having satisfactorily completed at least two years of college work from at an accredited institution.

Since the institute is accredited, it is eligible to offer Title IV options of financial aid to students who demonstrate need. Military tuition assistance programs are also available.
