I like the small classes. You really get to know each other in your program and to know the professors. Theit is easy to get to classes and move about campus with ease overall school experience has been great. The school is small enough to where you can move about campus with ease.

Academics

I like the small classes. You really get to know each other in your program and to know the professors. The program is exactly what I was looking for. There are no colleges in my area that offer the classes and degree program that I have been looking for.

College Life

Im new to Texas A&M Commerce. I know that it is a safe community as I get out of class at 10pm. I am part of The National Society of Leadership and Success. It is a great program and great for networking. It also happens to be one of the largest organizations on campus.

Each department is extremely helpful and make problem resolution is easy. Issues are normally corrected within minutes or no more than one hour. I encourage students to take advantage of communicating with each department, financial aid, student accounts, the bookstore, etc.

Academics

The university has excellent educators who are truly concerned about students retention and comprehension of study materials. Each class is designed to ensure students master concepts, materials, analysis, and research. Assignments are challenging and case studies are tailored to real world analysis.

College Life

The social atmosphere is comparable to most universities. Students are very social, there are multiple organizations that a student can join, networking and business events. Students regularly engage in study groups and after hour activities.

Overall, I think the school is really great. The people here in Commerce are really friendly and also very willing to help as much as possible. The social aspect of TAMUC is definitely better than I thought it would be and the education looks to be extensive (school starts tomorrow).

Academics

well, as far as I know the classes aren't too big. I'm an incoming freshman so I don't really qualify to give a review on course work and such things but never the less I would like this scholarship, but this question as of right now does not pertain to me.

College Life

The social aspect is really great! I was pretty worried about my social life here because Commerce is in the middle of nowhere when compared to my home town but before school starts they have this whole thing called Lion Camp and they show you the ropes of the school and give away free stuff and give you a way to have a good time here and I really appreciate that the orientation committee would go out of their way to plan and create a wonderful atmosphere for the "Frightful Freshman".

I like the small school atomosphere and the smaller classes than the larger schools. I chose the school because it provided a place for a great education and a place that was close to home. The size was important as well.

Academics

I like the small class size when compared to the larger universities. The reputation in my community was that the university was a great school. I know people that attended the school and had a good experience.

College Life

There are many choices of campus clubs, Greek life or athletics to choose from. I am not familar with the social life outside of campus. I have not explored the various options available yet, but I will later.

I am a full time student as well as a mother and a full time employee. The main things I looked for were programs that offered online classes and also night classes. This school offers a program that is actually designed for people who have jobs and kids. You have to do online classes as well as night time class. They schedule it so that you only have to go to the school at the maximun twice a week. They offer two classes back to back so that you can save on gas as well as babysitting fees. Also, when you start to inter they place you at a local school close to your town as well as offer job placment after you graduate. I also really was interested in the school such as security and how well they take care of the school. It is very important to me to feel safe while walking to my car after dark. I found that this school provided all of the things that I needed to further my education. I could not be more happier with my decision and I look foward to the next two years at this school.

Academics

I feel that this program is wonderful. It was designed for the working class as well as people who have families. The classes are scheduled so that you only have to come once or twice a week. They also offer a great selection of the classes online for the convience of working students. I feel that they are open to working with you and making sure that you can complete this program in a timly manner. They also offer job placment after you graduate which is very important to me. I also feel with this school and program that being my age is not a facter at all. I love how they designed this class for older student.

College Life

The campus I go to is just a branch of the main campus. We do not have the athletics or clubs at this location. I feel that the security is very well present and I feel very safe at the school. The schools as well as the parking lots are always lit up and very bright. The staff and students are very friendly and are always open to helping if you need.

I am just starting this school, but it was the only accredited university that allowed me to complete my program online. I needed this flexibility because I am a mother of 2, a high school assistant principal and it's the only way I'll be able to get my EdD.

Academics

I am going to school all online in a cohort model. I like the course sequence but I haven't actually started courses yet. The review of the professors assures that this program is of high quality and will offer the opportunity for great electives.

College Life

I won't be attending the campus because my classes are all online. There is a great feel from the campus website so I am hoping to visit the campus at least once before graduation :). The college does a great job of sharing information with students that are not physically on the campus.

Overall

The school is a beautiful facility located in historical commerce, TX. It is close to Sulphur Springs and Greenville. I personally live off of campus and drive to the campus on class days and have many friends that do the same! This is a small hometown college where you are able to enjoy staying close to your family and friends and still get a great degree. However if you choose to move to Commerce and live on campus because it's a small hometown college everyone is very nice and friendly! This is a great place to meet new friends in the same degree of study!

Academics

I have always taken maximum load sizes of classes between 15 to 18 hours a semester which makes it tough, however the professors are always willing to help make sure you understand the information! One of my favorite professors is Mrs. Taggart! If you are planning to take any accounting classes be sure to take her!!!

College Life

There are a few places to go out with friends in this town such as the Mule, as well as the campus always has activities going on that you are able to attend such as movie nights! They also have an awesome athletic facility that is included in your tuition with a pool, rock climbing wall, and many other amenities! All around great College!!!

This is my first semester to be at this campus. I am a transfer student from Southeastern OK State University so compared to that campus it is very easy to get around and the people are friendly. Damitri that was over the orientation is a hoot and I do hope that they keep him around longer.

Academics

Well, since this is my first semester I cannot comment on the professors and such, but the entrance part has gone smoothly. I am eager for school to start so I can see how things go with teachers and etc. I like all that TAMU has to offer online since I live out of town but will still be able to get a small town feel out of this experience.

College Life

I am not going to be living on campus and joining the campus life, but previous family members that did live on campus have highly recommended it for the younger ones coming into the college scene. At this point from what I have seen and read about I would feel comfortable allowing my daughter to move on campus. She will be graduating high school in 2015.

I like that the campus is very opened to new students and there are many places where you can go for any help. The campuse was open to many of my family and I even was able to baptize my son there. I enjoyed staying here my freshmen year.

Academics

The classes were always intended for the right size and I never had a problem with any course. The teachers were easy to get ahold of and I was able to speak to an adviosr when needed in order to get my graduation together.

College Life

The greek cordinators were awesome and I had many help when I asked for it. I was able to join Kappa Delta Chi and learn many new things. I met some of the most amazing people that I still am friends with and will continue to be!

Overall

I enjoy the small town atmosphere of the school. Most professors know my name, and I have not even had some of them. I know most of the students and they know me. Everyone is very nice and respectful.

Academics

The classes are challenging, but the professors enjoy teaching! The class sizes are relatively small. Most of the professors are very easy to get along with and helpful. I would say the workload is average, but all the professors are willing to help in any way they can!

College Life

I do not live on campus. I commute about an hour and a half one way, so I do not know about campus life. I have never been to any sport activities, or any greek or social activites. Since I do not live in Commerce, I do not know about weekend activities, either.
