Wallace Community College in Sparks, Alabama, is a comprehensive educational institution offering degree programs and diplomas, preparation for university transfer, personal development and enrichment courses, and services to help students from underserved populations.
In addition to career certifications in a wide range of medical, technical and other fields, Wallace awards academic associate’s degrees for those who wish to transfer to such schools as University of Alabama and Auburn University.
To further assist those who want to go on to a four-year school, Wallace even provides a list on its website of which state universities offer the different programs of study available at Wallace.
In order to help all students, including those who face specific challenges, Wallace has many resources in place including disability services, career services, personal and academic counseling and services provided by the Upward Bound program.
Since Wallace is an open-enrollment school, just about anyone may enroll by filling out the online application form. Certain programs may have additional requirements.
Tuition is significantly lower for Alabama state residents and all students. Both in-state and out-of-state residents may apply for financial aid. Aid is awarded to eligible students through federal, need-based sources like grants and loans. Wallace also provides academic scholarships and benefits for veterans.
