The Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, provides an inclusive community of faith and learning to prepare men and women for Christian ministry, deepen their relationship with Christ and the Bible and promote a love for people all over the world.
The seminary offers a wide variety of academics from certificate programs to doctoral degrees. Students may enroll in classes in its several schools, including:
- School of Theology
- Fish School of Evangelism and Missions
- Terry School of Church and Family Ministries
- School of Church Music
The school offers many opportunities to become engaged in college life outside of the classroom. From fine arts performances like piano recitals and choir concerts to chapel services, the campus is full of activity.
You can also join community outreach projects with local churches to benefit the area. Whether you want to plant flowers throughout the area or help run food drives, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities for you.
To supports its faith heritage, the school offers tuition discounts to members of a Southern Baptist Church.
To apply, you may complete an application online. Admissions require students to submit a written statement of conversion experience, family background, spiritual development, call to ministry and ministerial and educational goals.
Eligible students may receive financial aid through institutional endowments, Southern Baptist Convention Cooperative Program funds, scholarships and private loans.

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary exists to provide theological education for individuals engaging in Christian ministry. Southwestern provides a community of faith and learning that develops spiritual leaders with a passion for Christ and the Bible, a love for people, and the skills to minister effectively in a rapidly changing world. The seminary has trained and sent out more than 40,000 graduates to serve in local churches and mission fields around the world. I really like Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary because she assists the churches of the Southern Baptist Convention by the biblical education of God-called men and women for their respective ministries, which fulfill the Great Commission and glorify God.
