Founded in 1867, Centenary College, a state chartered institution, is the primary educational and cultural resource for northwest New Jersey, offering a range of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs as well as non-degree courses.

Centenary College offers associate's, bachelor's, master's, and education certification programs. In addition, the school offers students professional and personal development opportunities through non-degree courses.

The school offers traditional on-campus classes as well as accelerated and online courses. Centenary College also has a well-respected equestrian center available for students interested in the Equine Studies program.

On-campus housing is available. Students interested in living on campus apply for housing annually and rooms are granted based on factors such as total credits completed and GPA. In cases of a tie, the room is typically awarded to the earliest applicant.
