CSUDH is a great school for students who need the extra support while working full time or part time and trying to complete their degree. There is a great faculty team here to support continuing education students and also support transfer students. The school has just added a brand new library and has upgraded many classrooms. The class sizes remain small so that you can get great individual attention from professors who are experienced and have practical work experience. CSUDH provides many, many resources while keeping tuition extremely low through the Cal State system. Online and night classes are abundant so, again, Cal State Dominguez Hills is a great choice for any working student.
My experience at CSUDH was one of the best times of my life, I found clarity on what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, and met some of the most amazing people. The Communication Department-ROCKS, and the faculty are some of the most caring people one will ever meet. I was not overly involved in school activities due to my work schedule, but I found CSUDH students to be friendly, outgoing, and social. Some of my most memorable experience were those moments I shared with my friends, eating lunch in the student union studying for test we totally forgot about, or crazy breaks at the on-campus pub. The most important thing to remember in school, is network, network, network! Join a club if it interest you, introduce yourself to someone studying a different major, and use ALL of the campus resources as needed. The more you put into your college experience the more you’ll enjoy, and get out of it.
