Cosmetology students at P & A Scholars Beauty School in Detroit, Michigan, learn intricate and advanced styles and procedures. They also benefit from the school’s unique career-mentorship program.
P & A students, or scholars as they are called, learn the basics of hairstyling, skincare and nail care. They also progress to much more advanced skills and techniques. The school’s most advanced scholars work in the clinic, giving haircuts, pedicures and manicures and performing such complex procedures as weaves, hair straightening, full spa treatments and complete makeovers.
Graduates of P & A Scholars Beauty School may receive job placement assistance for as long as they need. P & A also has a unique mentoring program, which assigns graduates to local industry professionals. Through this mentorship program, P & A graduates work alongside salon owners and managers, and may obtain employment.
P & A Scholars is approved for Title IV financial aid, which consists of grants, loans and work-study. Students may receive one or more of these awards in their financial aid package.
