About Lipscomb University

What better way is there to develop and enhance your Christian faith than to integrate it with your education to provide a complete learning environment? Lipscomb University, in Nashville, Tennessee, does just that.

Nearly 100 years after founder David Lipscomb’s death, the university continues to operate with his commitment to preparing graduates for both life on earth and the afterlife by developing them intellectually, spiritually, socially, and physically.

Lipscomb University offers well over 100 programs of study in several dozen majors. Associate’s, bachelor’s, and graduate degrees are offered. Remaining dedicated to developing students intellectually and spiritually, all freshman students are required to live in one of the single-sex residence halls on campus to fully immerse themselves in the college atmosphere.

In addition, all students and faculty worship together on Tuesdays, and students can also choose small “break-out” chapels to worship in on Thursdays. There are also several dozen student organizations available to choose from.

Lipscomb University employs a rolling admissions process and attempts to keep it as painless as possible. Applicants do need to submit an application, test scores, recommendation or academic evaluation, and high school transcripts prior to scheduling an interview with an admissions representative.

All students pay the same tuition regardless of residence, and are encouraged to apply for Federal Aid via the FAFSA as well as reviewing available scholarships.

I think Lipscomb University is one of the best Christian colleges in the state of Tennessee. And many seniors who are considering a good Christian school, should go to Lipscomb, to explore the world of being a Christian in their city or all around the United States. I also went to a little event there at Lipscomb which is Youth in Action, it's where you and some many other teenagers go and find out what college life is like while being on the campus, going across the city and seeing what being a student a Lipscomb can do.
