I really like the staff at Tri County . It is a smaller school and I wish it had more funding for some of the things that I think we should have for my area of study. I really like all of my instructors so far . They all have been there to help me with anything I might have had trouble with. All in all , I think it is a great school , even if you are just using it to start off your educational path.

Academics

There is a wide varity off programs offered at Tri County and it seems like they try and add something new every year. I am excited that they have added some classes for engineering. All of the professors and instructors are very knowledgable in there field . Some of the classes are bigger than others . For the area I live in , there is only so many types of job fields to get into so some programs are packed and others are very small.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere is pretty upbeat . Everything is really nice and up to date with all the educational tools, such as books and new computer labs with really nice computers that have the capability to run CAD/CAM software. Some days parking is a little more packed than others , but you can always find a spot . Safety is a big deal in the shop I study in . We use CNC mills and lathes to machine a variety of things , some for our school . Some of the things we make are for schools around us. We also do some stuff for local special olympics.

I think Tri County Community College is a wonderful place to acquire an education. I am a mother of three children, working part time as well as going to school, so having a community college nearby has helped me a great deal. I have always liked the idea of being able to go to school and not feel so overwhelmed with everthing that goes on in my life. Attending Tri county community college has given me the chance to futher my education and be able to look forward to having a rewarding career. Tri County Community College has been a wonderful learning expierience for me personally. I remember when I first enrolled at Tri County Community college many years ago, It was such a warm welcomimg place it made me feel at home. When I decided to come to school this year I was looking forward to it because of that same reason. It hasn't changed that much maybe a few more camouses added on nothing major but I still enjoy it immensily and it is in such a convient location. I would highly recommend Tri County Community College to anyone who is thinking about enrolling into a two year college. You get quality learning in a small atmosphere which I love. Their is alot of one on one and the people I have made friends with I will never forget.

Academics

I am actually enrolled in two fields of study, Officce Systems Technology and Cosmetology. The classes are not very big they typically range between seven to 15 students. I like this because you can recieve more interaction from your professors and everyone becomes a family. Tri County Community College offers quiute a bit of programs to be such a little community college. I mean their are the two i am enrolled in along with ones like criminal justice, nursing, welding, childcare, just to name a few. The professors always work with you and make you feel like you are number one. I know that may sound cheesy but I like that kind of attention, it makes me want to excell and be the best that I can be. Another thing I like personally about the professors is that they really push you in a way that makes you want to push yourself as well. My professors have been very understanding about anything and everything. Sometimes they even seem like they are my counselors as well as my friend. I know that there is suppose to be a thin line between teaching and making friends with your students but here at Tri County it seems only natural that they end up becoming way more that a friend. A lot of times it seems more like they are your family.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Campus life here at Tri County Community College is wonderful. Like I said before it is a small campus with a small campus environment. Not only do we have the main campus here in Murphy, NC, but there is also a campus in Graham county as well. Also for people like me who work there is the option of taking some of your classes on line. That is a big plus for me because sometimes working and being mom to three is a job in itself and sometimes you jusst can't, "go to class". Taking on-line classes has been a big life saver for me. The parking at the campus is very good. I have never had to park very far from my buildings where I have my classes and you can always find a parking spot. Also, the equuipment that they have to use like computers and the salon equuipment is all very up to date. It makes you feel good to know that just because we are a small college that we have not been limited to poor campus equipment or faciities. Another thing that I like the most about Tri County community college is the safety that they provide. Everyone that is enrolled has to have a parking permit, so if you don't have one on your vehicle then campus security will definately find out. The parking lots and buildings are all well lit, that means a lot to me since most of my classes are late at night. which brings to my attention of the campus security. They are wonderful they really go above and beyond to keep the students safe here. One security campus tracked down a thief who stole my instuctors pocket book. Another time I had to get gas after school one night and the campus security officer followed me to the gas station acrosss the road just to make sure I got gas safely! To me that goes above and beyond because they didn't have to do that since the gas station was of course of campus. Yeah that really meant a lot to me, so kudddos to campus security!

I love Tri- County Community College I think that the school is a wonderful school and is filled with wonderful students and teachers. I haven't met a teacher yet that hasn't been inviting and polite. I think that tri county community college has a wonderful learning experiences place and is off the charts with their curriculum. The rate of learning at Tri county community college is a very fast pace learning style along with an inviting style. You will love all the teachers and the students and not want to leave when it is time. I found that the online classes at tri county community college are very easy to get ahead of and do with a breeze and not have to feel like you are being rushed through the class. I think that being such a large school they are really good about making sure that you feel welcomed and that you a part of the best school in the world. They have a wonderful school spirit and are proud that they are a great school. I think that it is awesome to be a part of such a wonderful school and a place that it is loyal, honest and loving.

Academics

Tri County has a wonderful cosmetology program that is filled with wonderful students and teachers. I have found that every one of them is wonderful about making sure that you feel welcomed and loved as an equal not just a student. I have grown to love my classmates like my sisters and our teacher is like a second mother to me. I can’t imagine learning all of the things that we are learning without all the beautiful girls and our wonderful teacher. The work that we have to do in class is made to be fun and doesn’t feel like it is work. I love that we get to joke around and pick and play but yet we are also learning the requirements for this class. I also love that by learning all the things we are able to build a relationship with the other girls in class and get to have our hair and nails and things done, as a learning skill and a perk. I feel like in the line of learning that I chose that there so much more that you learn than the curriculum itself. I think that it is just a learning skill and perk of having such a great teacher and girls to walk with in this step toward the rest of our life.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Tri County has a wonderful atmosphere full of love and inviting people and friends. I think the safety officers that we have on campus are wonderful people and I would gladly call them my friends. They help us all by making sure that we are in a safe environment when we are walking to our cars at the end of the night. I feel safe knowing that they are here to protect us at night when we are here long after many others have left and are at a venerable state. I think that the computer labs that we have are a wonderful resource because we have access to learning tools that some colleges don’t have access to. We have lots of parking at school and have lots of places that we can walk and do all the things safely that we feel like needs to be done at the end of a long week. I feel like we are truly blessed to have a great staff and faculty at Tri County community college because we are offered a lot of things that some people have taken for granted. I don’t know where I would be without all the wonderful people that we have at Tri County Community College.

I think in all the college is great. I do wish that the college was more available on both campuses. As it stands today the main campus has a lot more to offer and it is all most an hour away. With then some of the student and staff have to travel either to be considered a full time student or full time professor. When researching schools there aren’t many choices, there are online colleges or our small town college here. I can’t pin point my FAVOIRT TEACHER, I think highly of them all. I haven’t come across a teacher he at TCCC with a poor attitude. All of course would like more pay, but this isn’t a job you do for money. On the campus I am at witch is the wing off the main campus is complete in two, one story buildings. Therefore there aren’t any secrete passageways from one class to another. Now for classroom secretes, I would say that it isn’t really a secret, but everyone here is willing to help. But there are no handouts, you come here as an adult you are treated as so. Sports there are none, plenty of discussion. Activities, the student government do what they can provide with a budget. I help without TCCC float and had more fun then attended. Student life outside of class, I am a husband and father of 3. Which means my outside student life doesn’t exist much? Also you can’t blame the college for that there isn’t any local hang out spots here in this small town.

Academics

My college provides all classes needed and more for a two year degree or transfer students. My only wish for the school is I wish the money was there to provide what’s on the main campus on the wing campus in Robbinsville. I think more people would attend the wing campus if there were more provided. The main campus is an hour away and they have things like cosmetology, mechanic classes, and therapeutic massage courses as well as welding. On the wing campus we have basic core classes and a welding shop. I think you may be able to get your certified nursing degree here on the wing campus. I just think that if more was provided here more people would take advantage of a degree and become more then a factory worker. Now there is nothing wrong with a factory worker. I just think the money for travel time and having transportation to get there might be a little discouraging to those that didn’t have it. Now for my professors I think that all of them come in with a smile on Mondays because they are happy to help people succeed in what their dreams are. Not yet have I seen an angry professor. I think the work load that the professors hand out for the students isn’t too much to ask. I think that the professor hand out college level assignments that isn’t an over load and also make you think outside the box. Our class size on the wing campus is my favorite you get a more one on one interaction. I think small classes are great when learning something where there is wiggle room in the facts or beliefs. I think in classes like chemistry where facts can’t be changed as much would be ok for me if the class room attendance was much larger. But for small time classes that make you think and discuss the matter of subject like sociology is better in a smaller setting.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere here at TCCC is fantastic, happy faces in all classes. I haven’t felt more welcome when I come to this college. The facility here at TCCC is more than happy to help you in any direction you need. I think the computer labs are very well taken care of and very helpful, the computers are very well up dated and there isn’t any out of date software. I think that the organization here is well planned out and focused on with great appreciation. When you walk in the professors are not scattered in their personal life or their teaching skills. The parking on the wing campus there is plenty of parking here. For the safety I don’t think there any issue with the safety on neither the wing campus nor the main campus. On the main campus there is security on staff during all business ours. On the wing campus there isn’t any security, due to lack of need. I don’t think security is need on the wing campus.

I really like all of the friendly professionals around the school. They are always eager to help and assist. It is nice when you have a concern or issue at hand the staff are quick to help and get the predicament resolved.

Academics

The workload isn't that bad, it has its moments of stressfulness. My classes are awesome. The teachers are fantastic and very helpful. The classes are pretty small which I like. Joan Ledford, my Biology Teacher,is funny and so chalk full of information, she makes learning easy and fun. Julie brown is my therapeutic teacher she makes learning easy, fun, and very informative as well. She not only takes the time to teach us what we need to know but also takes the time to teach us things that help benefit us with our career.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus has a few different buildings across the street from one another. Great for when you need to catch up on some fresh air. The atmosphere is very inviting. There are several computer labs to choose from and several tutors to help you out with those tricky or stressful assignments. The parking is spacious and set in the middle of the buildings. There are a couple of different police officers that tend to the campus.

Most schools in our area are way too far away from my family to go to.so I settled on tccc. I'm very glad I did because it was the best choice by far, the instructors and other students treat each other as the best of friends.

Academics

The program I chose is the staple in this region for anyone who wants an edge inn there field. The workload is never more than you could handle, never overcrouded, the people are very helpful and polite

Campus Facilities & Safety

I say any and all precautions and concerns have been taken to maintain a safe working and teaching environment for all. Parking is easy and smothe. Everything is kept clean. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Computers are relativly fast understandin how many people are uning the metwork

TCCC has some awesome teachers that will help you no matter what your issue is. I like being able to go to school so close to home. Plus the cost of tuition is great. TCCC has a program of study to fit almost anyone.

Academics

The courses are pretty tough and fairly demanding. No slack due to it being a small school. I have been very challenged in all my classes. I wish there was more available as in tutors. I also wish there was more work study positions.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Plenty of computer access at all of the campus's.Campus is very safe, you never have to worry about going to your car at night. Everyone, both students and college employees are very friendly. Its a comfortable place to learn for all age groups.

Being my first and only college I have been to I'd have to say I am quite bias against other schools. Tri-County Is a great college to go to right out of high school. The staff and personal are amazing and they help you to get set on your path to success.

Academics

The classes you take depends on the degree you wish to receive. The student chooses his or her own work load each semester. Depending upon what classes you take and when will tell you how large or small the class will be.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus its self is kept very clean and appealing to the eyes. They have a great computer lab and library for use of classes. I feel quite safe and at home when taking classes on campus. The people are great and the atmosphere is clear.

Tri County Community college is an amazing school. The advisors work hard to get you where you want to be. They are extremely helpful especially if you have grades that will reflect well on the school. The campus is small and easy to navigate. They offer many classes online that are general education classes as well as major specific courses.

Academics

The classes are small and the professors are able to give each student a lot of one on one time if needed. They pride themselves in teaching everyone what they need. I believe that they have some of the best professors.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere is very home-like. They have a very good layout that allows for easy movement between buildings. The is quite a bit of parking all throughout the campus. The campus is always very clean.

Tri County has been a challenge to me, in a good way. The college strives to help you learn and push you to your limits and it makes you more aware of what your capable of doing in life. Its an awesome school and would reccomend it to anyone, if your heart is truely about wonting to learn then there compassion to help you achieve this is through the stars!

Academics

My course loads have been tough , my professors expect the best from there every student and if you have a problem with learning they are there to assure you get the proper help and they will find a way to help you learn the material. They go out of there way above and beyond to make sure you are grasping everything your mind can take.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere is friendly and quite, it actually is soothing in some ways. The parking area is close to the buildings and there is always security some were as your walking through there at night. Its a safe environment and you feel secure and safe at all times. They even have a day care there during the day for mothers who are trying to go to school, and its an excellant program for the young ones!
