Student Ratings
Joshua Sarna Student at This School - Grad Year 2017
UCLA is on a quarter system (similar to a trimester system, with summer being considered the fourth quarter), and this is one of the things that attracted me to the university. Students generally take three or four courses at a time for ten weeks, take final exams, and start a new quarter. The general education requirements at UCLA differ from college to college, but they are generally fairly extensive. As a chemistry major, I have ten gen-ed requirements (40-60 credits), an English writing requirement, and a demonstrated proficiency requirement for English and math. This is enough to make UCLA students extremely well-rounded academicians, in my opinion.
Bryan Loesby Student at This School - Grad Year 2013
The classes are small with around 10-20 students. The professors are working professionals who come to teach part time their fields specialty. The course work is updated and current to the job market which helps a lot. The work is comparable to any other college course.
