For an associate degree or certificate program in the Littleton area, a suburb south of Denver, Colorado, Arapahoe Community College is prepared to fill your educational needs.
Of the many programs offered by ACC, Automotive Service Technology, Computer Science, Construction Supervision, Game Design and Development, Interior Design, Mortuary Science, Retail Management, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Dispatch, Nurse Aide, and Web Design make up some of the more interesting majors.
ACC is more than just a collection of academic programs. There are also an array of student services such as academic advising, bookstore, library, campus safety, child development center, fitness facilities, and a testing center.
The career center has career counseling by appointment, career exploration services, a resource library, job searches, resume writing, interview workshops, and job fairs.
Need-based financial aid is available in the forms of grants, work-study, loans and scholarships for those who qualify. Around 35 different scholarships are offered to eligible students and are awarded based on major, grade point average, essays and other specific requirements.
Arapahoe also participates in a program called College Opportunity Fund, which gives a set amount of money per unit you take in school to Colorado resident students who apply.
50% of students gave Arapahoe Community College 5 stars overall.
Over all the school does a great job for a community college. The staff is always friendly and has representatives to speak to you about any question about your education or classes to you. I came in as a high school student, and they have a whole office devoted to helping me, and other high school students with the non-traditional education route.
For being a recent high school graduate, Arapahoe Community College has made the transition from high school to college very easy for me. I love the overall atmosphere of the school, but there are a few concerns I have. The library is too small for the number of students that are using it. I think if the library were to be expanded or more study rooms were created in a separate section of the school I would be able to have a quiet environmnet to study and do homework in.
