Reviews for The University of Texas at Dallas
Overall the school is located in a fun busy community with every restaurant around! However, malls are at least a 15 minute drive to get to. This school has some of the best professors around who really care about the student. However, due to the major diversity in UTD the professors are sometimes difficult to understand if their accent is still prominent. The parking is very frustrating because there are only enough spaces for a third of the student/teacher population. This means to insure a parking spot you must get their first thing in the morning ( around 8am) even if your classes don't begin till 10am or 11am. There is no football team which is a major feature of the college atmosphere.
Classes sizes at the University of Texas at Dallas are great, the workload is bearable, and the variety of classes are amazing. The only concern, to me, is that many of the professors are heavily accented.
There are a lot of student organizations at UTD that make a huge effort to plan activities and outings. Because of the diversity there is an organization for everyone.Due to the fact that I live off -campus , I am unaware of what the weekend activities are.
UT dallas needs masssive classroom updates. The lecture rooms have broken chairs and all are very uncomfortable. contacting the staff by phone is almost ridiculus, especially during registration. academically, great school!
All instructors are very professional and experienced in the subject matter. The work load varies from teacher to teacher, as some classes are small and some large. Work load also depends on the class size and timing for assignments.
lUTD has a COMET spirit - lots of sports related activities but they need more visibility for each group within the school. We have had a couple ofcars broken into and a woman attaccked since I have been here 6 years.
