I myself am a prospective student. I have toured the school twice now, and have been extremely pleased with campus and staff each time. Each staff member that I talked to was ready to tell me anything that I wanted to know, and helped me with anything that I needed. They are extremely friendly, and I can't wait to begin my classes.

Academics

I am a prospective student at this time, but I have toured the college. I have read that the class sizes are small, and that there is more than enough room for the student to learn, and if they do not understand anything, students can attend class on Fridays to get more specialized help. I have met with some of the instructors, and they all seem very knowledgeable and friendly.

Campus Facilities & Safety

I am, at this time, a prospective student. The campus is large, but the atmosphere appears to be very close knit. I also know that the campus is in the heart of Cleveland, and they have a lot of nice things on the inside, so security must be pretty good.

Overall

I was impressed with the overall organization and structure of the school. Seeing the organization tells me that this school is driven to see its students succeed. Too many times I get the feeling, from colleges that I have toured, that the students exist for the school. When I toured Ohio Technical College I really felt that this school exist for the students. The thing I like the most is that my ties with this school do not end a graduation as they have a lifetime job placement program for all graduates.

Academics

I do not begin classes at Ohio Technical College until July 8th of this year. From what I am told I like the smaller class sizes which will allow for more hands on and 1 on 1 time with the instructors. The workload sounds very rigid but it sounds very structured. The instructors also make themselves readily available during non class times for students. I get the feeling that as long as the student wants to learn and graduate that there is no way the instructors will let them fail.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus was well organized and the facilities were spotless. Parking seemed fine to me, if you get there early you won't have to walk as far. Pretty much what I deal with where I live now. They do not have any on-campus housing so I have to get a job and pay rent but according to my father that buils character. By the time I graduate I will be bubbling over with character but I do feel that I will be ready to deal with whateve life has to throw at me.

I like the variety of courses. This college provides a practical future for students looking to enter the workforce. You are not treated as a student, but as a prospective employee. The most memorable experrience I had was seeing the opportunities in my future. I believe by attending Ohio Technical College I will be able to provide myself with a better standard of living. It provides an option other than traditonal four year schools which not all students are intrested in.

Academics

The small class room sizes creates more one on one time with instructors. The work load is more hands-on and less studying. This is a better enviorment for students who are tactical learners versus students who are traditional learners.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Although the shcool is in the middle of the city, it provides its own security. The school does not provide its own housing but helps place students in quality student housing off campus. The campus itself has a small library and computer lab for the small amount of book work. The community is overall friendly and welcoming.

Any individual seeking a future in the automotive industry will find nothing better then Ohio Technical College, (OTC). They offer a complete hands on experience in there courses and give you real problems to mend while working in a professional atmosphere. The Monday through Thursday school week gives students an extra day to themselves in a week to either go in on the Friday where instructors will be readily available for extra help, or an opportunity to work a few extra hours to pay off the expensive school loan, etc. Speaking about the organization, like any other, only goes so far. You MUST take a campus tour of the facility to fully grasp the potential that is held within OTC. Having only taken a tour myself I was able to observe several students who came in on the Friday to put in extra hours while the instructors aided them. The excitement my tour guide shared during my tour only but heightened my excitement to attend. Thee OTC is not just a College but an organization of individuals that work together for the students so they are able to succeed. But hey, don't take my word for it. I dare you to prove me wrong. Look them up: www.ohiotechnicalcollege.com and see for yourself the opportunity that awaits.

Academics

Every class is geared to assist you in any future job that you have in this field. Your not taking a course to wonder why you have to take it when it doesn't even pertain to your future job. Classes are only two times a week for two hours. If thats not an easy Associates then I don't know what is. You take one class at a time until you graduate. You do not have to participate in the Associates program however in the ever growing world of wisdom you could save yourself much trouble in the future with only 4 hours a week by kocking it out the same time you study for your certificate.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Safety is number one at OTC. The first couple weeks of your course will be spent learning about safety precautions and to minimize dangerous activity. The campus has several parking lots to accommodate the students at total cost of $0. Unreal I know but believe it. There are security cameras placed at enterances as well as gates for protection against theft. The overall atmosphere at OTC came off as everyone that was there wanted to be and not because they felt they had to. Teachers willing to go the extra mile, dedicated staff readily available to assist with financial aide, housing, etc. and an environment filled with students ready to take the lead in the industry. This, is what I believe OTC is about!

Overall

As a prospective student I found the experience wonderful and am looking forward to attending school here. The education I am lookisng to recieve will work with my military career. The students and instructers I met were friendly and helpful with explaining my choices, career prospects, and my education needs. The fact that so many students go in to their training areas on the eir days off to learn and work on projects that will help themiunderstand their career choice. The training areas or "Labs" give each student the opertunity to explore hands-on the automotive industry. The one of a kind oppertunities that are given at this school will lead me to a wonderful career that is not just a job. Everyone I encountered during my visit was very positive and willing to answer any questions my mother, grandmother, or I asked. If they did not have an answer they were willing to find someone with an answer.

Academics

Classes at OTC are very small and the programs are geared towards each student learning as much as possible in their chosen field. All students are held to high standards while being encouraged to do the very best they possibly can. The fact that courses such as Psychology, Sociology and Speech are required is a plus for anyone who will be working in public service.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus is friendly and encouraging to students providing resources beyond the normal daily life. Apartements for living and housing are exceptional and provide students with a homelike atmosphere while teaching independence in daily living.
