Though there are now many campuses in the University System of Maryland, the University of Maryland – Baltimore is the oldest among them. Established more than 200 years ago, the University of Maryland’s Baltimore campus serves as a graduate and professional school.
In particular, its academics focus on law and medicine, administered through the following schools:
- School of Law
- School of Medicine
- School of Nursing
- School of Pharmacy
- School of Social Work
These academic divisions represent some of the oldest professional schools in the United States. Today, they continue to offer effective training in some of the most sought-after fields.
Even though it doesn’t enroll undergraduates, the University of Maryland – Baltimore offers a variety of on-campus housing. This allows you to avoid long daily commutes, making college life at UM Baltimore convenient and comfortable.
Extensive financial aid is available at UMD Baltimore, but there are a few important dates to keep in mind. The FAFSA should be submitted by March 1 at the latest, and students interested in scholarships should complete the application by February 1.
