Academics Rating

Purdue University has a wide variety of classes with nearly 200 different majors. It would be easy to say "there's a class for that". Purdue is most notable for our Engineering program, which Neil Armstrong, who was the first man on the moon, attended. Once a student is accepted, an advisor helps guide you with your interests and sets up your schedule while showing you how to do it so you are prepared when it is your turn. An average workload is around five classes a semester, but if you are wanting to take more, you can work with your advisor to see which classes will work best for your plan. What I personally enjoyed most about academics here is that I had a variety of lecture halls of 300 people and classes of about twenty students, which created a nice balance. The Professors are brilliant and want you to do well. I will say that it is nothing easy, but that is what made me more independent, work harder, and felt I achieved something throughout my classes. When you come to Purdue University, you aren't just learning to learn, you are learning for life. It's a wonderful feeling knowing I get to graduate from Purdue University and know how much I truly did learn, academically and socially.
