People come from all over the country to attend the Skin Science Institute of Laser and Esthetics, which offers multiple levels of skincare training and financial incentives to out-of-state students.
Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Skin Science Institute offers relocation assistance and tuition scholarships to eligible students who move from other states to attend their school.
Academics encompass multiple levels of training in the skincare field.
Students may get a basic certification, which takes 600 hours to complete and gives students a foundational knowledge in such esthetic techniques as:
- Facial treatments
- Chemical Peels
Students in the basic course also learn makeup application and even basic massage techniques.
The Skin Science Institute also offers a Master course for those who would like to learn advanced techniques. The Master program teaches advanced approaches to skills taught at the basic level. Students also learn such advanced techniques as:
- Rosacea treatments
- Hydrating facial treatments
- Body wraps
- Ultrasound facial treatments
The highest level of training is the CIDESCO certification. This is the highest level of esthetics training available at the school and in the industry.
Students have the option of combining basic and advanced training into a single program of study.
All levels of training involve a substantial amount of hands-on learning at the school’s spa facility.
In addition to scholarships for out-of-state students, the Skin Science Institute offers academic scholarships for those with a history of academic achievement and scholarships to those who have already worked in the skincare industry. Additional financial aid offerings include grants and loans.
