Tyravius Smith Student at This School - Grad Year 2015
At this time I am taking 15 hours. My major is listed as nursing but I don't know that that will be true for long. I was able to get all the classes that I need as a freshmen. I'm still learning my professors but I can say they are very knowledgable in their fields. They are also helpful and encourage us to make appointment with them. The class sizes are not nearly as large as I thought they would be. I have heard horror stories about large class sizes from friends who attend other universities. Presently, I have no more than 40 students in any of my classes. However, I think that might change depending on the classes. Because of the open door policies of most of my professors, I am not that concerned about large classes. I also know I can be part of a study group for any subject.

From what I have seen, UAB has normal size classes compared to other ranked universities. I am not sure about the professors and such. The work load and program, from what I've reviewed, are extensively comparative.
