Serving over 20,000 students, Delaware Technical and Community College aims to provide accessible post-secondary education to students throughout Delaware. The Terry campus is situated in Dover, which offers historic charm in an urban environment.
DTCC Terry’s academics include a wide selection of one-year and two-year certificate, diploma, and associate’s degree programs. Because it is primarily a vocational school, many of these programs are professionally oriented, in subjects like Computer Information Systems, Culinary Arts, and Education. DTCC Terry also features some unique programs of study, such as an AAS in Interior Design, and an MS Office Technician certificate.
Though most of its students are part-time, the Terry campus’ student life offers a number of opportunities, including more than 20 clubs and organizations. The school also sponsors intramural and club sports including lacrosse, soccer, cross country, and volleyball.
The city of Dover also provides plenty of culture and entertainment. In addition to its rich historical background, Dover is home to the Schwartz Center for the Arts (formerly the Dover Opera House), the Dover Symphony Orchestra, and the Sewell C. Biggs Museum of American Art, which specializes in colonial art.
