I believe our school tries very hard to make sure that we get a good education at a community college. They are always refurbishing the buildings and adding new ones. They encourage studying and time for homework in every class. Every teacher I have had has personally cared. The financial parts are issues for me and have not really been addressed at my school. I have heard many complaints about not transferable units that counselors have told them to take.

The staff is very helpful if not understaffed, my biggest tip is make an appointment early to sit down with a counselor and come up with an academic plan, then meet with a financial aid coumselor, and finally make sure you take your placement tests early and sign up for classses ASAP.
