As one of Colorado’s oldest two-year school, Trinidad State Junior College aims to serve all of the community’s academic and vocational needs. The school organizes its academics into Arts & Sciences and Career & Technical divisions, offering a variety of associate’s degrees in both areas.
In the Arts & Sciences division, Trinidad State offers more than 20 programs of study, including pre-professional programs in Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Veterinary. These programs are ideal for students seeking to transfer to a four-year school.
The Career & Technical division offers about 35 programs leading to the associate of applied science degree. Some of these programs, such as Gunsmithing and Line Technician, are rare to find at a community college.
To help you meet your educational goals, Trinidad State Junior College provides several financial aid programs. The first step in applying for financial aid is to file the FAFSA. Though you can file it anytime before June 30, the earlier you do so, the better.
Trinidad State’s open admissions policy allows anyone over the age of 16 to enroll in classes. You still have to fill out an application to enroll, however, and some programs may have additional admissions requirements.
