Reviews for University of Arkansas, Main Campus
I knew from the second I set foot on this campus that this is where I would spend my next four years. It is such a pretty campus and has so much life. I have made so many lasting friends here and have fit in perfectly. I would encourage every prospective student to come and take a tour of the campus and the college they are interested in. Also, get involved in something around school. Whether it be greek life, academics clubs, or student government or any of the other hundreds of organizations on campus. If you get involved and stay involved, your college career will be one you never forget.
The University of Arkansas is a place that challenges you for the better. Each teacher is always there to help you whenever you have problems or questions. Also, there are tons of resources on campus to help. The professors are passionate about what they teach and try to make their students understand as best they can. I came from a graduating class of 46 so I was scared I would be in huge classes and not succeed because of it. However, I quickly found that classes are good sizes and in the larger classes the teachers still try to get to know everyone.
I love the Razorback atmosphere! Everyone is so passionate about what they believe in and we are all here for one another. There are clubs for every type of person and there is always something going on to be involved with on campus. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and safe at the university. I could not imagine being anywhere else!
The University of Arkansas is a step above the rest. I looked at many colleges before making my decision and haven't regretted it at all. The athletics are great, academics outstanding, and the people fantastic. Our campus is beautiful and the history is deep. I actually took a class in Old Main which was a very neat experience. My dorm for the past year was cozy and got to meet many people, eight of which I now call my best friends. The Razorback Marching Band really is the best part of my campus experience. Since I was involved, I met so many people who have really helped me in many areas. If you are looking at being in the band in any shape, way, or form, you really should put U of A right at the top of your list. There is no way to go wrong here- they strive to help and always want you to be the best you can be.
This school balances overall size with class size. The largest class I attended had around 50 students. My teachers always answer emails and are more than happy to meet with me. The teachers here care. The business school is one of the top in the country and really wants to help students study abroad. Studying abroad really is possible if you want to. I am also a Spanish major and have been really connected into the Hispanic community. I was offered a volunteer position as a translator for the local school district through my professor and also am going to be an orientation mentor for international students because of my teacher. Again, I have yet to meet a professor who doesn't love what they do and want to help you be the best. PLEASE look at this school. You seriously can't go wrong.
If you watch football, then you have heard of the University of Arkansas. We finished 5th in the nation this past year and are aiming to improve for next season. Our athletic program is OUTSTANDING. Even through the trials that Bobby Patrino put us through, we are still considered a top notch school. The University of Arkansas is built on integrity and many felt that we would simply keep Patrino because of his wins. But, wins weren't the most important thing to us. We strive to be the best in all areas, and how could be keep Patrino and still call ourselves a top university? The social life is very fun and our Sororities and Fraternities are all well funded and highly functioning. Dickson street is a great place to not only drink, but also go to comedy clubs and dances put on by the Fayetteville Jazz Classic. My friends and I have enjoyed the lights during Christmas, swing dancing, and many other activities on Dickson. This really is a great place overall.
I believe this is a wonderful school. I've learned so much about myself from just a short amount of time. I've always felt so welcomed and loved by the staff and students. I would encourage everyone to come to the University of Arkansas. :)
The academics at the University of Arkansas are amazing. My favorite professor has been helping me accomplish my goals and aspirations the entire year. She has been so devoted and loving toward me. The class size is perfect. Sometimes you'll get a large class, but it's mostly for your basics.
The student life has been the best part about college. I've made so many new friends. We are always willing to help each other with classes or studying. We can even go support our Razorbacks and have a great time.
