Overall

Hands down the best experience of my life. The best town, the best school, the best people. Its truly a magical little town. It is a perfect college town that centers everything around its students. I joined a sorority as a freshman and loved having older girls show me the ropes of the town and make me feel comfortable in my new home.

Academics

My classes were a perfect size. I was a Comm Design/Media Arts major. I felt like I got enough attention and new my professors well without feeling like the class was too small and anything i did would stand out. The professors truly care about you and teach you in a way that prepares you for the real world and what it will actually be like in a job afrer college.

College Life

The social atmosphere is unbelievable. So friendly, everyone has a "Chico smile" on their face at all times. There is a sense of pride when you go to Chico State, and that shows in all the students. There are soo many different clubs and activities to get involved in. All of which are made very clear and present when walking on campus. I always felt safe on campus and honestly had the best four years of my life there.

Overall

I loved Chico and my experience there was a very positive one. The people I met were wonderful, and some of my greatest friendships were formed during those years. I loved the small town atmosphere, and all of the outdoor activities that were available, especially the gem of the town, Bidwell Park. There's also a great music scene, the campus is cool, you are close to Tahoe and the Bay Area, and overall I just found it to be a very special place.

Academics

I was a psychology major and enjoyed my program. I thought the teachers and curriculum were good, although I wish at the time I had taken my studies a little more seriously. I think I got more of a life education in Chico, but that was my own doing and choice. If I could go back, I think I would have waited to declare a major for a couple of years, and I know for sure I would have done a semester abroad. I also would have tried to go straight into a master's program afterwards.

College Life

It's no secret that Chico has a great party atmosphere, typical of most college towns. When I was there, the downtown and campus were very integrated, so there was a lot of energy at all times. Lots of great cafes, restaurants, bars, live music, etc.. Chico is a great walking and biking town; you can walk or pedal anywhere you need to go and don't need a car. Campus is beautiful- nice brick buildings and a creek runing through campus. It's easy to navigate and get around and I always felt safe.

Overall

Overall I was quite impressed. My uncle graduated from this school and he took my brother and I to visit and showed us around. I love how the school is almost Ivy League looking. Everyone seems so nice and it's close to town, which is great being I won't have a car my first year!

Academics

I really can't write a review regarding this section as I am not a student here yet , I will say that I hope they don't have impacted classes like some colleges I visited! I'm really looking forward to being able to complete my schooling in 4 years.

College Life

I'm so bummed there's no football team!!! This will make my decision hard as I really wanted to attend a college that has a football team. To experience games and such while attending is what I was looking forward to.

Overall

I think CSU Chico has a beautiful campus. I've looked at several pictures and their campus is gorgeous. The town is great and there are many places to go. Students seem to be having a great time at Chico. I am looking forward to attending this university.

Academics

From what I've heard, the classes were fairly decent. There are great professors in there that are willing to help the students. Workload is manageable if the student knows how to balance his/her time. I heard the class sizes are not too big and that is a good thing because it will be easier to focus and learn.

College Life

I've heard many stories about the college life at Chico State and many people say that they are having a blast. There are many clubs and organizations to join. Students are never bored in the campus because there are tons of activities to participate on. The Labor Day River Float seems to be one of the main events at Chico because it is incredibly fun. This is definitely the place to be if you want to work hard and play hard.
