Overall

The school is multicultural having students from multiple countries and walks of life. It is easily accessible by bus or train for people who do not drive. I made good friends from diverse backgrounds who are very cordial. I had a good working relationship with a handful of professors who take their time to clarify information you do not get or guidance for a project or paper.

Academics

The classes offered at the school are wonderful, professors thrive very hard to make sure we get the best out of the lot. I had good learning experiences in many of the courses I took there. The workload is doable, despite the weekly assignments. The class size for most of the courses i I took average 25 - 30 students. However there are larger class sizes for some courses and they taught in the auditoriums.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The atmosphere is conducive, with well equipped labs and library resources. Students have the option of taking a class at one the school campuses at Bio-park, UM downtown or the main campus at Liberty road. The campus is safe and there is public safety for order around the school. There is a gym which is accessible to students who may want to use it. The school have parking on it's campus and adjacent at the Bon Secour.

Overall

I am so grateful for the education I received here at BCCC. When I look back, I really used to think that the Nursing program was like boot camp. I remember our instructor telling us on the very 1st day of class- " Look at who is sitting next to you. They may not be here for very long". Whoa ! That scared us .Our class started out with 112 students. We had 18 in our graduating class at the end. The few. The proud . I don't think for 1 minute that I could have gotten a better education ANYWHERE- even at an expensive Ivy league school . My clinical experience, though at the time I would be shaking in my shoes, I am so appreciative of how hard it was and how it made me a better person and a much better nurse. I can't say it enough- "thank you "- to my great instructors !

Academics

Class size for lecture- started with 112. Lab class-20. Clinical group size was approx.10 students/ group. Workload- Difficult. Don't waste your time if you want easy. You have to work hard and will have a lot of homework. Learn to like coffee. It will become your friend.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Atmosphere on campus was good. Anatomy and Physiology lab was fun. Cafeteria big- food ok. Parking- not so good. Get there early or you'd be driving around forever looking for a spot. Overall, I have many happ
