This school has more school spirit than any other school there is. When you walk through the campus on any given day there are tons of students sitting outside on Landis Green taking in the sun and studying. The students here love it and couldn't ask for anything more.

Academics

The classes are quite large if it is a common class like college algebra or chemistry, and the workload depends on the professor. For most of the classes, the professor will help the students out by curving a test grade or giving points back for going over the test with the professor.

College Life

FSU is mostly run by greek life, but there are lots of other activities that one can get involved in and there are lots of things to do outside of FSU as well. There is a club or organization for every different kind of person so there is no excuse not to get involved.

I'm a current student at Florida State University. As a freshman, I am loving my time as a Seminole. The school spirit here is incredible. Everybody here has a deep desire to be here, and enjoys every minute of it. I suggest you apply early and make sure that your SAT and ACT scores are great.

Academics

FSU has a wide variety of majors, classes, programs, and class sizes here. If you take a general education class such as Biology, you're going to be in an auditorium with hundreds of kids. If you're taking a more specialized class, such as Intro to Statistics, you're going to be in a class that's similar to an average high school- around 40 students. All professors and advisors here are more than willing to put the time and effort into helping you if you are willing to put the same amount of effort back.

College Life

The social atmosphere here at FSU is one of much excitement and passion. There are a myriad of clubs and activities you can join, and if it's not already existing you can start it! There are campus busses that loop around the whole campus and to nearby pockets of neighborhoods. There are campus police officers whenever you need them, and the emergency response time is incredible. Our athletic department is amazing and nationally recognized. We have an amazing student body supporting our sports teams also. Florida State University is an all-around excellent school.

Florida State University is a great school. I have really enjoyed living on campus in a Living Learning Community, and the academics, as well as the extra-curricular activities are awesome. Additionally, FSU has a great education program, which is good for me, as I am an education major.

Academics

Most of my classes are actually pretty small. There are lots of big lecture classes with 100+ students in them, but for me, my largest class has around 30 students in it. My workload isn't too heavy, but I'm not taking as many classes this semester as I did last semester (and my workload was much heavier then). I don't mind it too much, though. Most of my professors are pretty awesome. I've only had one teacher that I didn't like (I didn't dislike her, either), and she wasn't a professor. I am in FSU's education program, which is one of the best education programs in the state. All of my best teachers in High School went there, and I can see why they chose FSU.

College Life

The social atmosphere at FSU is great. Campus is full of people, and there is always something going on. For example, students get free tickets to the home football games. There are also all kinds of clubs on campus, and most of them are open to anyone. Campus is a very safe place itself, making it a good place to hang out with friends.

I attended the Florida State Panama City Branch. I enjoyed the small class sizes and the personalization that the professors implemented. Tips: Be responsible, take this time to learn the most that your brain can hold. This is your opportunity to really enhance your academic abilities.

Academics

I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. The professors were very personal and individualized their instruction. I enjoyed the small class sizes. The classes held 25-30 students in each. The workload was tough, but that was to ensure you had the opportunity to learn as much as you can during those few years to enhance your future. Most of the classes were student centered and allowed collaboration among peers.

College Life

The campus has it own twenty four hour official Police Department. I felt very safe. I was in the Garnet Key Honor Society and enjoyed it very much. We were able to volunteer to help other students as well as volunteer for activities that brought the outside community in to see and be involved in campus activities. We had a torch run from or campus to the main campus for homecoming. There were also activities provided for community members to be apart of and celebrate homecoming. The social atmosphere was very professional and the students respected professors as well as their peers.

Overall

Florida State is a school ripe with tradition and respect for its students. Most notable being how it honors the Seminole Tribe of Florida: not with a mascot, but with a symbol: Chief Osceola on Renegade. The campus is particularly gorgeous. All of the local Tallahassee people are very friendly, and the school offers a broad variety of student groups; there is something for everyone.

Academics

The classes were challenging, but not insurmountable. There are plenty of resources available, such as tutoring and most professors are very helpful with questions a student might have. The workload is very balanced and well distributed throughout the year. Class size is variable, a popular major can see its classes filled to the brim (200+ students) whereas other major classes might have around 60 in a class.

College Life

With over 40,000 students, campus is always alive. Particularly, during the day, it's an interesting to see so many students making their way to class. It makes a small town feel like the hustle and bustle of a big city. There are also a plethora of clubs and organizations. One of the best ways to find out about them is Market Wednesday. The event happens every week and a large amounts of on campus organizations set up booths. As for the athletics, FSU some some of the best teams in the country on a consistent basis. The football, basketball, baseball, tennis teams (and many more) put on quite the show. For people who like music, there is Club Downunder that regularly brings in bands at night. There's on campus bowling, create-a-pot, a free movie theatre, a big gym called the Leach Recreational Center, and tons more to do on a regular basis.

Overall

Well I love this school! When I first step on the campus on the tour I knew this school had my name all over it. I seen all the things you can do and what I love of all Music. The program they give out for music is the best that I know of. I love the home on campus and the dinning the give you. The school is overall the best to look for if you coming to a stand of picking one. I just know you'll have a good time there.

Academics

I know that the classes will be hard, but what college wouldn't. But you have the time to learn a lot more then you need. The professor are there to help you during the hours and you will even be able to go back and check the class over online. All the programs they give you are great and I know they a all enjoyable. The class size is slightly big, but it's great and an quite environment in the classroom so you will still learn like everyone else.

College Life

Their are all kinds of people are, which I found out there are more girls then boys, but It's an safe campus and all the activities you can do on campus is not a lot to ask for. They have all different kind of sports and even a band. You have a great time at this campus in my eyes and if you can just take my word for it, go take a tour for yourself.
