I love going to Valencia college! I like the fact that professors make sure their students are learning and on track. Ever since I started Valencia in August, I have learned and grasped a completely new level of education. For example, when I started Anatomy and Physiology, I have learned so much more knowledge about the human body. For future students, I would have give a few pointers about keeping up with classwork and checking updates and announcements the professor or students make.

Academics

At Valencia, class sizes are just like any high school class; not too big, but not too small. The Professors at Valencia are eager to teach and make sure their students pass. The workload in my opinion is not that bad; and by that, I mean it is just like any honors class in a High School.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere is very welcoming. The campus is kept clean and tobacco free! Gardening is maintained;as well as the lawn.I have never seen or heard of any safety issues go on here and I feel the campus is very safe.

I like the environment and the people around the school not so much how long everything takes to get processed or taken care of. Financial Aid is still not done being processed for me and I had to borrow money to pay for one class that I am taking this semester, hoping I can get enough money from scholarships or FASFA this time around in January when I intend on taking three classes.

Academics

The teachers are good, some are difficult and some are fun. The only class I struggled with was government but I had to drop it. Class size is fine, never more than 30 students as I have seen for myself.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere is good and I enjoyed the school over all, the advisers try to help as much as possible. Computer labs never let me down. and over all I would say the campus is safe, I never experienced any type of misconduct from anyone, Everyone seemed mature enough to just get to where they needed to go and do what they needed to do.

I think this school has made great progress. They are expanding the school by building another building and the school has recently changed from a community college to a regular college. In addition, there will soon be more programs available for the students. So with all of this it has heighten my thoughts and feeling about Valencia. I really like the professors and the small class sizes. This allows for more individual training and is a great school for prospective students.

Academics

Every school has something to offer and I have experience the joy of having professors who really care. To me that is a important aspect when choosing a school. They are very cooperative; willing to work with each student on an individual basis as much as they can. Plus, the class size is not overwhelming and the workload is just right. The professors give us enough work not to be bored, but that is a little challenging and that helps your grade if a student is falling behind.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The atmosphere here at campus is very friendly and everyone is helpful. There are different organizations on campus that seems pretty interesting, but the only complain that I have is the parking. Sometimes it could be very challenging to find a parking dued to the heavy census the school has.

Valencia College is a excellent school. The faculty staff shows much interest in the student's studies, academic achievements, and goals while attending school as well as the students plans future plans after completing college level. Teachers all seem to follow the textbook method of teaching class but all seem to some how relate problems, solutions, and concepts taught in class to a real life situation. In my view really, this strategy and method of teaching helps a student understand how we can relate and use what we learn in school in our daily lives. My favorite department at Valencia College is hands down the Science Department but I do admit it is much for the reason that I am deeply fascinated by science, the environment, and the world we live in. I would encourage any student that is just starting college or has taken a break or just are not sure what they want to do in life to give Valencia College a shot to help you with guidance, care, encouragement, and outstanding support. The staff and the school will open your eyes tho the many things we all have the ability to do.

Academics

Classes and programs at Valencia will help guide you into the area of study you find most interest in. With many options of classes and programs to chose from, the opportunity for enhancing your experience, gaining knowledge, and obtaining career options to make a goal some what endless. Class sizes are perfect for a personal teacher and student one on one interaction. Work/Homework given will help improve your skills in writing, reading, and understanding. Some of the work may come as a first but it really does prepare you for your next class as it is ask of you to perform it again. Every class seems to coincide with each other, thus providing you with knowledge within all studies and how they even work together. The better the challenge in the work, the better the experience I believe and that is what Valencia College has provide me with.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere is friendly, everyone seems to always be willing to help. Whether is one finding a certain building, class, or a general school question, you may always find someone to help out, The facilities at Valencia College are always very clean, the cleaning and maintenance staff are always around cleaning up after us messy students. The cleaning staff are also super friendly and always willing to help students as well. The labs and testing centers are very well managed. The entering and exiting of the labs is really done in a convenient and timely manner, Super Fast. There are plenty of parking spaces, although if you are running late, you may have to park a bit far from the building your class may be in, so always try to get to school/class on time to find a really good paring spot. The campus is well protected and watched over by security and even the county sheriff's office, who patrol the area often. Security onsite really make me feel safe at all times, they seem to never sleep, as you will seen them at all areas on campus. That is really a big plus for me, safety during the time I receive my education can definitely help and have a good impact on my studies being very successful.

Classes are flexible all day long and night and always entertainment during the day on campus grounds I would advise and high school Graduate to attend this local college as it is much cheaper and its close to family and friends not to mention close to my house which makes it very convenient. food court is reasonable prices too .

Academics

Classes consist of great people and everyone seems to be polite and knowledgeable of the campus grounds and the professors seem to be able to translate knowledge well over to the students. Classes are not crowded too which is a great plus for me

Campus Facilities & Safety

Every room Classroom I have entered has always been presented clean and neat. Security is always at hand and in sight in the parking lot and around the campus day and night Atmosphere seems to be lively and fun all day long as mentioned above there is always some kind of entertainment going on whether its radio stations blood banks or entertainers.

As a working mother and going back to school Valencia College is a great place to get your education. It has been important to me to finish my AS degree and I am half way there, after experiencing a lay off recently I am trying not to let that deture me from graduating in 2013 and will get with the financial advisors on campus.

Academics

Great Professors, labs, turoring help everywhere you look. Class sizes are good size not over powering and the ability to attend school day or night. My pre-algebra Professor was great and always willing to help with any questions or problems.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus stmosphere and facilities are clean accessable, parking has improved with the new buildings completed in 2010 and the campus notifications of any unsafe activity make it a safe place to attend.

The campus really strives to help the students with many resources available day and night. They also offer several workshops for many different topics. I took two workshops on note taking and maximizing the use of your tablet with school and blackboard. I utilize the resources often and without them I feel I would have harder time getting math concepts and working on my grammar for written papers. I also love the fact they offer weekend classes because as a single mother, those are the only classes I can take.

Academics

The classes I have attended have about 20 students. The long desks are great because they give plenty of space for your books and usually a gap between other students if you want. The professors are usually good if you have done a little research and know what you’re getting into.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The parking is a little crazy; sometimes it takes me 20 minutes to find a spot. This is one of the reasons I avoid the campus during the early day. However, there is always campus security driving around and the atmosphere in the campus feels good. The computer labs are particularly nice because there is a good amount of space between the person next to you since many of the tables are placed in a circular design.
