Overall
For a small community college, I considered Metropolitan Community College just has paramount as any University. For the simple fact that the staff members, (and when I say staff I'm referring to everyone at Metropolitan Community College who plays a part in making it function) really care about everyone succeeding in whatever it is they're trying to accomplish.
Academics
Metropolitan Community College has many programs to offer depending on what your needs are, it's part of the flexibility that Metropolitan has to offer. I really feel they also have excellent instructors, especially the ones who teach about business. As far as I'm concerned Mr. Robert McCune who instructs the Economic courses, whether it be Micro or Macro goes way and beyond any other instructor I've had the privilege of being taught by. (If we had someone like him running our country, we might not be trillions in debt). His extensive knowlege and open minded ways have always had a positive influence on me.
Campus Facilities & Safety
Campus safety is definitely one of their number one top priorites. The police officers are more than accomodating in any way that they can assist you. (Last winter, Darius one of the officers didn't waste any time getting my daughter on the phone, when it appeared that I was going into what we suspected could of been cardiac arrest, I ended up spending two days in the hospital. Thank, God he was close by when it happened). Now for the resource center which I'm guessing would be considered the computer lab is without a doubt the most AWESOME center, ever! The liasons in the center also go way and beyond the call of duty to try to accomodate one's needs of assistance, and they're pretty friendly. I've only used the Writing Center once, but it was a very positive experience. Parking has come a long way since I generated here as student. Used to be they only had a very small lot, once the property across the street from Metropolitan became available they didn't waste anytime buying it up for parking.
