Reviews for Carson-Newman University, Newman College
I like the overall campus atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, polite and helpful. Being a part of a Private Baptist University, you do not have to deal with a lot of the drama that is involved with Public Universities, however it is not all completely lost. I would not trade my experience thus far at Carson Newman for anything and I am definitely glad I made the decision to attend this University. One thing I would advise prospective students about is that you have to want to be here. Like anywhere else, you will not be happy unless Carson Newman is the place you want to be. Do not try to force yourself to stay here because it is the easiest thing for you.
Academically I think Carson Newman is like most other Private Universities. We have the liberal arts aspect of education which provides students with an understanding of the history of the University. I would not say that our academics are the most demanding, but at the same time I think they are at a greater caliber than most public universities.
Basically if you do not get involved on campus at Carson Newman it is your own fault. There are numerous opportunities to get involved, make friends and provide community service, even do all three at one time in some cases. So if you like campus involvement you'll like Carson Newman
The campus is beautiful. The school has a very comfortable atmosphere.
It's apparent they have high academic standards and offer a wide selection of studies.
Student appear happy and at home here.
