At The Creative Center in Omaha, Nebraska, you can learn the business as well as the creative side of the visual arts.
There are two programs at The Creative Center: a three-year bachelor’s degree and a two-year associate’s degree.
In both of these programs you’ll receive training in the art of graphic design and build a portfolio over the course of your time there.
However, at The Creative Center you’ll also learn the practical aspects of being a graphic designer. Assigned to an advisory committee, students are given the guidance needed to seek out positions and work in design studios, ad agencies, television, web design and multimedia among other areas.
In addition to an application, the admissions department also requires an in-person interview.
The Creative Center offers several scholarships based on creative ability. Other financial aid offerings include Pell grants and loans to those who qualify.
While they do not provide housing, The Creative Center has an agreement with a local apartment complex to provide highly discounted apartments to students.
100% of students gave The Creative Center 5 stars overall.
Intensity, variety, incredible potential. You will learn and grow in direct proportion to the effort you put in. This school is known for its students winning awards. For Example: Of the 76 Nebraska 2012 student ADDYs awarded, the Creative Center students won 36 of them.
Overall, i would easily say this college is a fantastic place, not only for learning graphic design but meeting people and making new friends. The hands on learning this school promotes is incredibly different from any other college I have heard of, real life professional graphic designers are there monitoring your progress through the class and are more then happy to help a student in need.
