Overall
I have been attended Irvine Valley College 2 years and going for the 3rd year as part-time student. I like the school because most of the faculty I met are knowledgeable and they teach with their passion. When I visit them during their office hours, they are always welcome and helpful. Especially Sarah Bereiter in writing class. She opens her door to every student, and offers above and beyond help we need to achieve our academic goal. Additionally they have a great system for transferring. So this is the way to get in Universities without perfect SAT if you possessed study ethic and were willing to work hard toward your academic goal. Overall, the school has been providing greater education for my academic goal even I am not fresh out of high school.
Academics
Unfortunately, the school is facing many lower availabilities of class due to budget cuts from the government. However, you will still be able to register for classes when you register early enough. Class size is moderate to small. Workload is appropriate or lower in my opinion.
Campus Facilities & Safety
Campus atmosphere is expected as community college. Parking is available when you are on time on campus to attend class. Facilities are clean and updated. Campus safety is monitored by on sight Irvine police department. They equipped with Apple computer in the library with large screen that I utilize its availability often.
