American Advanced Technicians Institute, Corp. (AATI) provides technical training in the automotive technology field.
It is located in Hialeah, Florida, and has thousands of square feet of classrooms, labs and shops with visual aids and modern equipment for hands-on learning.
AATI offers educational programs in Automotive Technology, Advanced Automotive Technology, Automotive Transmission, and more. It has a Certificate Preparation program as well to prepare professional automotive technicians for the AATI or ASE certification exams.
The school also has a continuing education section for body and paint technicians and mechanics to assist with the Miami Dade County Motor Vehicle Repair (MVR) ordinance. The law requires workers in the aforementioned professions to take 16 hours of continuing education courses every year. Class offerings include Diesel Electronic Injection, Hybrid Vehicles, Painting and Refinishing, and Safety Systems (air bags and safety belts).
In order to apply for admissions to AATI, applicants must be at least 17 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent (such as acceptable scores on the Wonderlic Scholastic Achievement Test).
AATI is dedicated to helping its students succeed in school and in the automotive industry. Financial aid is available to those who are eligible. Job placement services are also offered to those who need assistance with finding employment after graduation.
