Academics Rating

The classes in my specific major i find less than challenging, which is somewhat of a disappointment. I feel like i could be learning a lot more, but the professors don't want to challenge the students much more than they need to. All my music industry classes have been a breeze so far. I had one professor who rarely showed up to class, assigned no homework the whole semester, and gave almost everyone an A on our one final paper (which could be about anything music related). Another professor had us all write 50-page analysis on music venues over the course of 2 months, and returned all the reports within about a week and a half, with mot grades in the 90's. This was disappointing to me because i felt the work i had put into the assignment was for nothing. Most of my other professors have been also very easy, very unclear in their teaching, or VERY hard to understand through their thick accents. Most of them are nice, but my no means would i call ANY professor i have had at this school "great". Class sizes are pretty small in my major (20-30 kids or 50 tops for more basic classes) or have been very large 50-200 kids for my basic classes outside my major (science requirement, economics, etc).

Academics Rating

As I sat through the information center on campus, I learned a lot about how the school works. They have great class sizes and experienced professors. They told us that each of the professors still works in the field that they are teaching so they know all about the newest information in that field. They spoke a little about the workload, and the general statement was that the work would be managable and help was available whenever we needed it. Each of the classes have teachers that are willing to help you and you can find a great tutor anywhere you look. Their library was beautiful and it had anything you could possibly need to ace your next test.
