A leader in the aviation maintenance training community, National Aviation Academy (NAA) has provided aircraft technician education since 1932. NAA students learn how to inspect, repair and maintain aircraft, working on everything from engines and electrical systems to landing gear.
Practical, hands-on and industry-based instruction prepares students for careers in the aviation maintenance field. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved curriculum is paired with real-world experience in classrooms, labs and a dedicated maintenance hangar to simulate what students can expect upon entering the field. They learn to maintain and repair aircraft, both structurally and mechanically, by studying airframe (structural) and powerplant (engine) mechanics.
Courses in aviation maintenance, advanced aircraft systems (avionics), and a fusion of the two, are offered. Students can complete their training, going from no experience to fully-certified airframe and powerplant (A&P) technicians in as little as 14 months. All courses are FAA-approved.
NAA's Tampa Bay campus is located in Clearwater, Florida. Situated at the heart of the Tampa Bay area, the campus is a short drive to Tampa, St. Petersburg and some of the best beaches in the country. Day and night classes are offered to fit the busy schedules of those who are working, or will need to work their way through school.
Assistance from departments including admissions advisement, financial aid, student services and career services are available. NAA's Tampa Bay campus has a 96% career placement rate.
