The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Georgia Health Sciences University (GHSU) is one of the oldest medical colleges in the US, and it is dedicated to preparing its students for a future in healthcare. Its expansive resources include a comprehensive medical library, health and wellness center, hospital for education and training purposes, and medical center for children.
A combined M.D. and Ph.D. program is offered at MCG and covers areas such as: Cellular Biology and Anatomy, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Pharmacology and Toxicology.
A limited number of students are admitted to the exclusive M.D. and Ph.D. program, and prior research experience is a requirement.
The school is one of the only public medical colleges in Georgia, and residency programs are offered in state as well as out of the country in Greece, Italy, and other countries. State and school sources of financial aid are also available for qualifying MCG students.
If you are looking for a challenge, and have a desire to start a rewarding career in the healthcare field as a medical doctor, consider attending the Medical College of Georgia for your coursework, research, and training.
