Reviews for Virginia Marti College of Art and Design
I have a positive overall opinion about the college. It offers the necessary knowledge that I believe is needed in the near future as far as job placement goes. They do not have that many off school experiences offered but what they lack with that, they compensate with stories and examples of real life situations in my career.
The classes are more than two and half hours long, which ensure that every one of us gets the necessary attention since most classes sizes are formed of five students. The instructors are interested in every one of us and are trying to please everyone’s need for knowledge.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The campus atmosphere is relaxed and calm, with everyone doing their best in their field. The labs are equipped with the latest technology out there and they always try to keep up with the demand for software and equipment, especially in the Digital Media classes.
I absolutely love Virginia Marti College of Art and Design. They are a small school, so there is a lot of individual attention from the professors. Everyone at the college has shown me a genuine interest in helping me succeed in every aspect of my life which I have not experienced at my previous college. The programs are geared to helping you find a job right out of school and their job placement is extremely high. The focus of the school is in the arts, so it is nice to find a group of people that all share your same interests. I have learned a good amount about the industry by just talking to the other students about their classes and current projects. Overall the environment is warm, welcoming and inspires you to put your best foot forward!
The professors at Virginia Marti are extremely talented professionals who have achieved much success in their own careers and are there to pass along their expertise in your program of study. They tailor their teaching styles to each individual student, the classes are under 10 students so this is a huge benefit. My program of fashion design is a tough workload, but I feel that I will be prepared to handle any job when I graduate because of how well I was prepared for the real world. Most of the classes are very interactive and hands on, so you can't help but get involved and excited about learning!
Campus Facilities & Safety
The campus is small, there are two buildings, one specifically for Fashion Design and the other one holds labs and classes for Graphic Design, Interior Design, Visual Media and Fashion Merchandising. They offer everything you could possibly need to create anything you can think up. The administrative offices and the hallways are decorated with current students projects so everyone can appreciate the talent that is around them. There are four computer labs and metered parking right next to the school. There is always someone available to walk you out if it is late or you don't feel comfortable. It truly is a family at Virginia Marti College of Art and Design and they will do anything to take care of their own!
