Overall

Michigan is an amazing university with a wide variety of studies available. The Ross School of Business is a top tier program with a focused cirriculum. The University has one of the largest alumni networks in the country and graduates are very proud of their alma mater.

Academics

Classes in the Business School range from large lectures to small working groups. The professors are highly accessible and encourage interaction between the students and faculty. Much the work is done in small groups and case studies are used extensively to explore concepts and develop new ideas.

College Life

Michigan is very social and students have a great time. Ann Arbor is a vibrant city with many influences beyond the University. Obviously, many of the students are from in-state regions but there is also large out-of-state and international student population. Athletics, particularly football, is a big draw in the Fall.

Overall

I was able to attend U Mich, Ann Arbor, which seems like the BEST location. I participated in a LEAD program, which high school juniors (soon to be seniors) attend classes on-campus for 4 weeks. The summer program allowed me the opportunity to explore finance, entrepreneurship, accounting and marketing, among other business sectors.

Academics

At the U Mich LEAD program, I was engaged in an intense, hands-on curriculum incorporating case studies, business plans and team projects. We were provided with first-hand knowledge from business professionals through mentoring and corporate site visits, which very cool and insightful. This was one of the experiences that made me feel confident that a career in business was for me.

College Life

How cool it was to be away from my family and living like a college student for 4 weeks! I got to experience life as college students, dorm life (including dorm food). There were several social activities, like visiting Cedar Point and a Detroit Tigers baseball game. Major fun, I highly recommend this program for anyone looking into business.

Overall

I really like the University of Michigan because it has the whole package-great professors, amazing athletics, and well diversified student body. I met students from all walks of the the globe. The campus is beautiful too. I was born in Ann Arbor and felt that going back to school at University of Michigan was a dream come true.

Academics

The classes were rigorous the first few years because I was Pre-Med. Then I transitioned to psychology and film and really took interesting classes where I had to do a lot of writing and group projects. My professors were all amazing people, very smart and leaders in the community.

College Life

The UMichigan social scene is second to none. It has the best football team in the world and you get to watch games in the Big House-120K fans fill the stadium. The school spirit is alive. Michigan is also an intellectual campus, so there are really cool coffee shops and bookstores, as well as many cultural events.

Overall

The campus is beautiful and has such a history. I love that you did not need a car and that you could walk everywhere. I am so glad that I stayed for spring and summer terms because that is when you really get to know the city and the campus. Less crowds and professors are more laid back.

Academics

It all depends on what program you are in. I was an English major so I had a lot of flexibility in choosing my classes. Those who choose something more specialized like engineering may have less options. The best classes for me where the ones that I chose on a whim.. they sounded interesting. Creative writing, statistics, and women's studies.

College Life

Michigan Football games are the heart and soul of the fall in Ann Arbor. Even if you cannot get tickets it is still worthwhile to tailgate before the game. Tons of social organizations to choose from. There is something for everyone. I joined a sorority and it was a easy and wonderful way to meet other people.

Overall, I think that there is a lot going on at U of M. Whenever I am there I get a good feeling that the students are enjoying their college experience. Its a fun place to be around and it is very open and clean.

Academics

I have honestly never took a class yet at U of M, but I know that lots of academically gifted kids attend this school. I look forward to get the best experience out there and I believe U of M has the best pre-med program out there.

College Life

The atmosphere is relaxed. Everyone just kinda freestyles everything but thats what college is for. I have never heard of any shootings or anything odd going on around campus so I never really questioned my safety.

I toured this University during the summer. It was not a busy time so I got to actually experience the actual Universiy . Historic and beautiful. I have been there during class time and it is a very busy environment. I love how the University is integrated into the city or vise versa.

Academics

This University has top rated Aerospace program. There are other Universities and Institutes with an aerospace degree program, but Uof M just happens to be in my backyard so I will be close to hme. Go Blue!!!!!!

College Life

I have yet to experience this aspest of the Universiy, but I can' t wait. I do follow their sports teams and listen to the local news about safety issues. I have gone to the Art Fair in the summer and this is an experience.
