Overall
The aspect of UD that I loved the most was the student neighborhood. Rather than a lot of off-campus and landlord housing, the university owns an entire neighborhood of houses around the campus. Juniors and seniors live in this neighborhood. This provides a very close, united, and friendly atmosphere around the campus, as well as an added sense of security. It is a unique housing setup that I really appreciated and enjoyed.
Academics
UD is a private university with a very respected degree. I was in the engineering dept, which is one of its core competencies, but it is also well respected in other areas as well. Education and business come to mind. As far as workload is concerned, it is definitely challenging. However, if you prioritize and plan out your commitments, it is achievable. For the most part, class sizes are less than 40 students.
College Life
As I mentioned above, the student neighborhood provides for an extremely social and close community of students. As far as the nightlife is concerned, most students stay on campus for this reason. Most houses have a fairly open door policy as far as parties go. Most sports are not very big at UD, so if you are looking for a big-time athletic college, UD is not for you. The biggest sport is basketball, where we reside in the Atlantic 10 conference. However, there are a lot of club and intramural teams to play on.

Overall
It has been many years since I attended U of Dayton, but the education was excellent. I received several internship offers after I graduated and went on to have an excellent career in as a registered dietitian.
Academics
Excellent professors in all of my classes. Many of them also worked locally so there was excellent networking and opportunities for students off-campus in jobs, internships or volunteer work. Many of my professors were my mentors.
College Life
At the time I was at the U of Dayton, it had a smaller population than today. I made many close friends. It was a safe campus on and off campus housing was good. We didn't have cars so we walked or biked to all activities or took university provided buses to athletic activities. Basketball games were the highlight back then.

Overall
I liked the most just how the overall feel of the campus was. The atomosphere of the entire campus was just wonderful. The people were all so nice and friendly. It really helped for me to feel welcomed when I visited the school.
Academics
I haven't been to a class here yet, so I am unable to say. However talking to the students who go there, they talk about how their professors are always ready to help with anything you need. They also had said that they had always liked their classes that they took. That they learned a lot, and never had a problem. That gives me great confidence in the academics. Mm
College Life
When learning about the campus, you also learned about college life. To me it sounded like they really have a little bit of everything. That way there is something that every person on campus enjoys and can get into. Which I think is nice. Because they teuly do include everyone.
