Overall

NIACC is a great school. The teachers are willing to go the extra step to a help a student succeed as long as the student is giving effort in return. The resources at NIACC are phenomenal. There is a special desired lab for almost every type of course being taking, there is a student learning center where any student can get help in any class by a certain teacher that is specialized in that area of study. NIACC puts on many events outside of school, such a free movie night at the movie theater, free bowling and much more. They offer a wide variety of clubs and organizations to meet new people and help the community, as well as inter mural sports for everyone.

Academics

Most the classes are small enough where it feels as though it is one on one with you and the instructor, but there are classes you can take that are bigger if that way is not desired. The teachers are flexible, and will work with everyone student to benefit them as much as possible. The class rooms are rather small, like a high school class room, basic and nothing special. The workload is never too much. The teachers don't over work the students, even during finals week.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus is small, but that is expected at a community college. The facilities for the sports teams are fantastic, and the rec room is brand new. The rec offers a full size gym for any activity desired, a track above the gym, and a brand new weight room. The auditorium is nice, and big and has many events that place like plays, speakers and other shows. The parking is more than enough for the students that attend, the lot is never full. The computer labs are nice and offer plenty of computers. You never have to wait for a computer as there is more than one lab, and the computers are up to date. The campus safety is a 24/7 ran by on campus security throughout the day and all through the night. Cops a few times a year will do a random dormitory search and do checks throughout the parking lot. The dorms are old, but new ones are being built for the 2014 fall school season. There is also apartments separate from the dormitory.
