Thomas Edison State University is one of New Jersey's senior public institutions of higher learning dedicated exclusively to adults.
The admissions requirements for this school dictate that applicants should be at least 21 years of age and be a high school graduate. Prospective students do not need to take the SAT or ACT, and as the school offers 12 terms during the year, students also do not have to concern themselves with application deadlines.
The cost of tuition varies depending on residency status; in-state tuition is typically less expensive than out-of-state tuition. In addition to tuition, students are asked to pay a non-refundable $75 application fee when applying, and a graduation fee their final year of instruction.
Students that qualify for financial aid can take advantage of the school's scholarship program, in addition to federal and state grants, private scholarships and loans.
This school has more than 100 areas of study, so students can choose to earn an undergraduate, graduate, or noncredit professional certificate in academics ranging from accounting and sociology to criminal justice and nursing.
