Overall

Great school, I love going there. I love how far it is from my house, but I am glad the porter campus is going to open. The school will be five minutes away! I am so excited. I am so grateful to go to phcc

Academics

I love it. It is easy to get help from professors. They are so nice! The class size is small. Some teachers load you with load of home work and some are easy going. So far it is great. It can be a bit challenging.

Campus Facilities & Safety

I feel safe on campus. The security is nice, I have night classes and I don't feel unsafe at all! Computer labs are available. No parking fees. People that work there are so nice and helpful and look like they love their jobs.

Overall

I have not officially started school yet, I start in the Summer Term that begins in May. I have found so far that the financial aid aspect of beginning college is extremely confusing. I am approaching deadlines that I knew nothing about. Now that I know that these deadlines are getting closer, I hope that I have done everything I need to do to get the most aid that I can.

Academics

I have found that the online classes available are plenty. I used the ratemyproffesor.com website and found out alot of good information about teachers and courses. I am hoping that the reviews are accurate and I am excited to begin college.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus is very open and easy to get around. All of the employees that I have come in contact with have been very helpful and polite. Orientation was very informative and helpful. My only wish was that they would have gone over a little more about the financial aid process.

Pasco Hernando Community College (PHCC) is a wonderful and safe college to attend. I always feel safe when I am on campus. PHCC has 4 different locations to make travel easier. They have a wonderful selection of classes and times. I take as many on-line classes as possible. I feel that their Angel website is easy to use. I enjoy attending school at PHCC.

Academics

PHCC has a variety of classes to choose from. We have many wonderful professors to help us with our education. I am thankful for all they have taught me. Our class sizes are wonderful. We normally have around thirty people in a class. The small class size helps with more time for individual questions and time with the students.

Campus Facilities & Safety

PHCC is a very clean well kept college. We have huge computer labs at each campus so we always have a computer available. Our campus is very safe and well lit. Parking is only a problem at North campus. I feel they could expand the parking at that one campus. PHCC facility is very helpful, however the wait time to speak to someone is around thirty minutes at times.

Overall, Pasco-Hernando Community College is close to perfect for me. It definitely gave and still gives me a sense of community while attending here. If I ever have a question the staff have the, "if I don't know the answer right this second, I will get it for you as soon as possible," attitude and I love that. I have never had an issue with peer students and they are just as helpful as the staff. There are events and free food at least once a week going on in the court yard area and for me, that is perfect because sometimes the Dental Hygienists get only a few minutes for lunch!

Academics

I am currently in the Dental Hygiene Program. It is a fast paced program with alot of work; however, it couldn't be any other way because there is alot to learn. The instructors are brilliant and will work with you if you are having a trouble area. I love having twelve students in the program with me, it is enough to obtain mixed views or opinions about subjects, yet small enough to become close with each of the other students.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The atmosphere is great. I previously stated that the campus holds different interactive events regularly and it definitely boosts moral of the students. Parking is decent for the dental clinic area; however, I do wish there was a regulated area for our patient parking. Most of the patients are older and cannot move as quickly and the younger students.

The Falcuty and Staff are caring and try to help you in completeing all goals, courses, and projects. I started my first semester here at PHCC, and the Professor's respect you as a person not just a student. The staff are helpful in many ways.

Academics

I passed all projects for my first course at PHCC, so I'am very happy. I would like to have more courses in the near future with the same Professors i started with my first semester. Classes had all needed material to the program.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The facilities are always tidy, clean, and safety is top priority here at PHCC. The grounds are well kept, there have been no debris laying around or blowing in the wind since I have been here at PHCC.

Overall

the school is great.they currently just built the campus i go to in springhill. it is really nice and spacius. i only wish they had a gym on it. you know a gym is a good spot for all students and it focuses on your health.the teachers are great.if i could of picked a diffrent scholl in my area i wouodnt.i met alot of good solid people at this school.everything about it is pretty much a ten. i deffinantly recommend this school to al awaiting to get a father education.give it a chance and go get a tour of the campus its really nice and they have plenty of wildlife to intertain you on down time.

Academics

the classes are classes. the teachers take the time to teach they ddont just give you the work and tell you to do it. some classes overload the work but there is no harm in a little bit of work. the classroom sizes are perfect they will hold about 40 people.they have lots of certificate programs and tutoring programs.the classes sometimes can be a little long but then some are a little to short.

Campus Facilities & Safety

I am a new student at PHCC and have found the initial process has been easy and straightforward. The staff has answered any and all of my questions. I can say I am finally excited about attending college.

Academics

The program that I am seeking is extremely competetive and PHCC has given me the opportunity to succeed in getting into their Nursing Program. The professors have all had great ratings from past and current students.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The parking is close and easily accessible. I have felt comfortable on campus each time I have been there to visit. I have not had the pleasure of using the computer labs just yet but I am looking forward to it.

Pasco-Hernando Community College is a great school. The staff and workers were friendly. The school is very clean and students were nice. I never had a problem with anything or anyone. I've only been here for a year, but it went by so fast.

Academics

I have no complaint with any of my professors. They were all very caring for our concerns and problems. They all made me work for my grades and I never back down. Being in college, I don't expect east work so the workload was steady but I was able to handle it. There is no easy way out. My average class size was about 25 students in the beginning and people started to drop as usual. I liked each and every one of my classes and professors.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere as well was great. The computer labs were always avaliable to students. Many times I went in to do homework and study, and I wasn't bothered by anyone. As well, parking spaces were close by to classes. They had many different parking lots, which made it easier to get to a certain building.

Overall

Overall I think PHCC is a well rounded school. I attend the newest campus so they are still working out some things. The administrators are helpful and knowledgeable. The Financial Aid Department could use a little work. Financial aid always seems bothered by students, which it shouldn't be this way. Maybe if they had more staff to help, it would make things easier on the counselors. I think PHCC offers a large selection of classes for such a small community college as well.

Academics

PHCC offers everything you need for your AA to your AS. They also offer Technical Programs to get you in a profession even faster. I have attended 2 semesters, 1 at the school and 1 online. Both semesters were very manageable with workload and most professors are really understanding of students that work as well. The class room sizes are much smaller than that of a university, so you get a more personal learning environment as well.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus life is very lively. There are always activities set up, information booths, and food vendors available. I have not taken a night class but the campus seems very safe at all times of the day. There are TVs located throughout the halls, constantly playing, to inform you on new clubs, activities and also to update you on current events. The parking lot is huge, so there has never been a problem with parking.
