Overall

The Executive MBA program stands out in a number of ways. First, the cohort that goes through the entire experience together. Second, the quality of the professors, who generally have 'real jobs.' Third, the applied nature of the program. Having the program taught both in Malibu and in Northern California is a definite bonus in choosing the program that is geographically closer to you.

Academics

The professors all have, or have had, 'real' jobs of significant import in the area they are teaching. They bring a practical application to each day of each course. Student participation with real world examples is mandatory. Drawing parallels from case studies to your own business, and sharing that with the rest of the cohort, is how learning takes place.

College Life

The campus is gorgeous, you could not ask for a more beautiful setting. The Graziadio buildings on the campus are toward the top, and the accommodations for visiting students are the same as nice hotel. The meeting rooms are similar to any business.

Overall

Overall, Pepperdine is a solid school! I would highly recommend it for its reputation, good professors/lessons, relevant class work, and a beautiful campus! Actually, what I liked most about its MBA program is that almost 1/2 of the class assignments were directly related to the company that I was working for at the time which enriched my role within my division.

Academics

I greatly enjoyed most if not all the classes at pepperdine. I was most appreciative of the fact that the classes were small and that we each had the opportunity to interact with other professionals not just within our industry but all others. There was a good balance between individual and group assignments. The professors were personable and always available to provide extra assistance with assignments or discuss strategy ideas. Our student advisor Larry H was exceptional in keeping our student body informed and engaged.

College Life

I was working full time while getting my MBA so I did not have a lot of time for extra clubs or parties. I will say that I became good friends with several of my classmates. We not only created study groups but also took the time to relax and get to know each others families in a social setting

Overall

The level of diversity and quality of their business program in terms of group setting and expert professors in their respective fields. The professors and students bring a tremendous amount of real life professional experience that creates synergy in which it maximizes the learning environment a 100 fold.

Academics

A cohort setting in which the exchange of ideas and concepts are shared with other students deriving from diverse professional backgrounds. One of the essential elements has been the ability to work and study in a small class setting to maximize student effort and involvement.

College Life

Shortly after class adjourned, many of us would carve time to meet in a social environment to discuss previously administered lectures to discuss the different subject matters ranging from marketing, economics, projects, etc and how that would fit and be helpful in our in our professional work setting.

Overall

Homey and supportive environment. Professors felt like family. Everyone helped everyone else. The school is set in Malibu so if you like good weather, surfing, hiking, or the music scene it is pretty awesome. The sports teams aren't the best but there is good school spirit.

Academics

Law is pretty tough, but the school was great. I enjoyed the Special Education clinic and Trial Advocacy a lot. There are wonderful and caring professors that are interested in you as a student and as a person.

College Life

There is always something chill going on in Malibu, or you can cruise out to Santa Monica. Not a lot to do on campus for those over 21. Definitely do not live on campus if you are over 21 unless you are strictly religious.
