Overall

I really like the location. Fairborn is a nice city. The campus is nice, but the recent amount of construction hides this very much so. The ME program is nice, but some teachers really drop the ball. Others have completely changed my ways of thinking for the better. But you will get both.

Academics

As of sophomore year of ME, the classes range from appropriate to really hard due to weed out classes. The teachers, along with the students are very diverse, which was a new experience for me. Teachers are available through office hours and paid tutoring is available.

College Life

Campus life is lacking. A big commuter college. The on-campus housing is very strict and expensive, and the off campus varies. I would like to have seen a closer-knit student body that knew each other better and could have places to party and celebrate, but that is not entirely the case.

Overall

Since I will be new to Wright State this fall, I don't feel qalified to "rate" everything about the school. Judging by what I have experienced so far, Wright State will be a great place to continue my education.

Academics

Wright State offers a wide varity of programs in engineering, including mechanical engineering which will be my major; and while I haven't met the professors yet, I am pleased with my class load for the fall semester.

College Life

Since I have not began classes, it is hard to judge how everything will be when in full swing, but Wright State has many activities, clubs,& organizations to round out the social side of college life.

I feel that if you put yourself out there, as a student then you will achieve amazing results. WSU truly does try and take care of their students but ultimately it is up to you as a student to sign up for things in order to enrich your college experience. There is always something going in at the school or at the Nutter Center next door to keep students active and interested. There is a club for everyone and if you can't find one that you'd like to partake in then you can begin your very own!

Academics

Like every school you have professors that truly love the subject that they are teaching and ones that aree just there because it is there job but more often then not you will have a passionate one. They will try and help you in anyway they can and if they can't help tere are multiple study groups and available at variety times. There is a class size for everyone, small to lecture hall everyone gets accommodated at WSU.

College Life

There aren't many clubs but there is a mall and many other shopping centers near by. The Nutter Center is near by and a movie theater but the campus almost always has something going in to keep students invoked and happy.

Overall

The school made a good impression at the open house I attended. The only thing that I see which could be a negative is there is not enough parking. This is a serious problem, because this is mostly a commuter university.

Academics

The workload and amount of credit hours seems reasonable. The class sizes seem good and not too large. I have heard the instructors actually care about how the students do, and I am hoping this lives up to my expectations.

College Life

There seems to be an abundant amount of things to do from different organizations and clubs to athletics. At least enough to keep a college kid busy, but not so much that it will take away from the goal of graduation.

Overall

I really like the tunnels in the school w/ Ohio weather I think this will be awesome. I am going to study early childhood education and I like that WSU has an excellent program for this and they also work well w/ transfer of Teacher Academy and Edison State credits.I also like the resource room available for making copies, laminating, etc.

Academics

I am a prospective student and do not have information on this yet. During the tour it was winter break but the classrooms we viewed for education classes at the time we took our tour seemed to be reasonably small which I like because it seems more like class size I am accustomed to.

College Life

Again not much experience with this yet however during the tour I was impressed w/ the free yoga, exercise, etc activities available to students. I like how near the campus is located to shopping and credit uniion and banking available on campus. I like the safety 'phones' for student protection available throughout the campus.
