Overall
Central Oregon Community College was a great college to start at. The faculty members were all very helpful with whatever needs or accommodations my schedule needed. The teachers were willing to work one on one with the students and that was a huge help in being able to understand the material. Before I started at Central Oregon Community College I would have like to know that it is much easier and less stressful to get around at the Redmond campus than the Bend campus. I also would have liked to know that the class sizes are much smaller in Redmond than Bend.
Academics
Central Oregon Community Colleges classes and programs were easy to get into and very interesting. Even subjects that were not always my favorite in previous classes were enjoyable and interesting. The professors were more than willing to help you understand the material due to the small class sizes. This helped me tremendously! The work load of the classes was manageable as long as you kept up on the work. It could be easy to fall behind but most professors provide a schedule with all of the assignments and their due dates.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The campus atmosphere was very welcoming and warm. It is always a safe place to go. The campus is very organized and easy to navigate. At the Redmond campus there is always more than enough parking, even at the beginning of the term.

Overall
I love all the professors here at the college; they are professional and enthusiastic at what they teach. I love listening to professors lecture. This is an excellent community college campus. If you have trouble walking up stairs (COCC contains a lot of stairs), the campus contains buses that run through the college campus.
Academics
Small class sizes with instructors who hold a PhD or a post-doctorate. COCC has a nursing, pharmacy technician, automotive technology, culinary, and a medical-assistant program. All the programs are associate programs.
Campus Facilities & Safety
Built on the side of a hill, COCC includes a Campus Center where students can eat lunch, a building mainly used for science courses, and a building housing Oregon State University programs. Parking is limited, but there are overflow parking areas used for that purpose. There are also security officers that patrol the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Love Central Oregon Community College.

Overall
My parents and I went to Bend Oregon to check out Leading Edge Aviation, helicopter school and they were the ones that gave us the information about COCC aviation program. We just visited the campus briefly because they were still on winter break, but the staff that was working were so helpful. We plan on taking another trip to Bend in April to take a tour of the campus.
Academics
I don't have any of that information at this time. I will know more in April when we can meet with my aviation advisor. I am excited about being able to get an associates degree along with my aviation degree.
Campus Facilities & Safety
While we were at the campus we just walked around and met with a few friendly staff members, just getting a feel of it. I'm looking forward to meeting with a student advisor to get my classes set up and get a formal tour of the aviation program.
