Overall

I love the campus life here at Lamar. It's not to wild and crazy but it's not boring either. I spend most of my time in the dorms with my teammates playing games and watching youtube because they're so nice and home like.

Academics

I love the class size and my professors. They aren't hard at all as long as you go to class and don't sleep in class. The workload isn't hard at all even with being in athletics. Lamar has a lot of tutoring for anybody and it's free which helps a lot.

College Life

Everything is clean nice. The atmosphere is like any other well kept university. The athletics are fun to attend and just watch and spend time with friends. The weekends aren't that great just because everyone goes home, so that may be the only downsize Lamar has.

Overall

I think the school has overcome quite a few difficulties in many different aspects such as: the support of the locas, the financial situation, "beautification" of the campus, and the support the the students and faculty. What I like most about the school is its support for the arts. Though I think too much attention goes to areas that are not academic in nature (such as sports and recreation), the arts are still appreciated.

Academics

I think the class sizes are too large. Lamar is a small campus and has decreased their staff and increased their student population. This is unfortunate, as I do not feel the students are getting the appropriate level of attention and dedication... without students, happy students, there is no retention, and without retention and enrollment there is no school. I feel the teachers are hard-working and dedicated and care about their students, and the workload is fair depending on the course and the professor at hand.

College Life

I prefer to stay within the crowd of my own major. I wish there was a more diverse selection of clubs and organizations, though that (I do not believe) is at the fault of the administration, rather the lack of interest of the students. I also feel as though there should be more security and better lighting. I feel safe during the day, but walking around campus at night, alone, would not be a comfortable feeling. As far as weekend activities and athletics, I think there is a decent array to choose from, though I feel too much emphasis is put on the sports teams, which takes away from other students in other areas who are far surpassing the expectations and standards set upon them.

Overall

online professor could be more helpful.and return phone call, and help if you need them to asst u to get on line thats what you pay them for.im a older student .and in2003 it was very hard for me to get help from professors. i love football im hoping to become acoach in2014 with the help of the professor

Academics

lamar need to focus on the students withdisabilities like myself, when i attend icould not get in touch with the online professor.when i finaaly talk to him it was to late he fell me but that did not stop me .the workload was hard because im married and i work for b.i.s.d im a bus driver with daughters incoolege.so this why i think the classroom size is to large for some of us.the math class need to have more professor that can help student that have disabilities like myself,stop--------------making money off of us and not helping to pass the development class there joke .

College Life

im a working mother i really dont have time for these things yhis for the younger students not for me..i just want help to fiish my degree thats all im looking for not fun comes when i finish college. the campus can be more safe if the student go to there rooms on time this would help a lot with safety
