Overall

ULV is a great school offering a unique student experience for a school in the greater Los Angeles metro area. The school has a good offering of classes, small class sizes, a small but charming campus in a Ivy League school-like atmosphere. I truly enjoyed my critical thinking class - not something I expected!

Academics

The classes offered were typical of other small Liberal Arts colleges, giving students great options to explore majors. The professors were qualified and overall were competent in their respective fields. The general ed classes seemed to be a bit better than some of the upper division courses -- probably due to more diverse classes.

College Life

ULV is located in the City of La Verne, a small city in the San Gabriel Valley, adjacent to Pomona and the Claremont Colleges. Lots of fast food options nearby, but not too much with regard to clubs. A few decent local bars, though. La Verne is driving distance to Pasadena for great bars, clubs and restaurants.
