Reviews for Loyola University, Chicago
I absolutely love this university and recommend it to any and all students looking to attend a four year university. I love being so close to the city as well as to home. Campus is gorgeous, great people. Truly appreciate having a church to attend on campus. Hold this university in highest regards.
I've had classes in size ranged from 30-200 and haven't had a problem with any specific size. Some classes are certainly more difficult than others, as to be expected. When I discuss rigor with friends at other schools I find that Loyola seems to fall in the middle but I definitely feel as though I get more out of my classes that some of my other friends. I've enjoyed my professors thus far as well.
The social atmosphere at Loyola is what you make it. The school offers plenty of opportunities for students to get involved and it really is up to you what you'd like to be a part of. I am a part of the Sport Management club and I feel as though this particular organization has done a wonderful job of providing it's members with opportunities to gain experience in the sporting industry as well as opportunities to socialize with the other members of the club. I find campus safety does a wonderful job; any time I ever felt their presence necessary they were there and had a handle on the situation. Our athletics seem to be on the rise. It seems as though a little bit of work needs to be done to get Loyola at the top, but you can tell the effort is being put forth. Weekend activities are there for you to take advantage of if you please, our Department of Programming puts on plenty of events and advertises them well.
