Overall

CPCC has a wide variety of degrees to choose from. I was shocked to learn some of the courses that are offered at the school. I have enjoyed attending classes here because they are not too crowded, and I feel very personable with faculty. Financial aid covered everything for me for the semester, which allowed me to concentrate completely on my studies. I am 100% satisfied with the courses that I have been taking and even took some that just caught my interest.

Academics

Nice class size, very intimate settings and personal attention. The workload is fair, but you do have to be mindful of how you take classes. Too many difficult subjects in one semester is not a good idea.....spread the work out over time. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

Campus Facilities & Safety

There were a few incidents on campus, but overall I felt safe on campus. There was always a presence of security, and the officers are always pleasant and respectful. I wish they would add more cameras or patrols to the off-site parking decks, but thats it

Overall

I liked the many outlying campuses so you can go relatively close to your home. The school overall has a lot of dedicated personnel working there. The best tip I can giveto a student is to take the time out to find what you want to do with your life.Take a personality shape test. Also work at different jobs so you can get a feel for what you like to do best. Its your life you have to be responsible for it and not let someone tell you what you should do.Yet youmust also be wise enough to listen to good advice from older experienced people who can save you from a lot of pain and heartache. One of my most memorable moments at school was when we had to play a piece of music of our own choosing in a recital concert which was to be graded not only by ouy instructor but a number of others who would be attending as well.I was very nervous but I came out fairly well. The most important thing thst was revealed about the occasion was that I did have good potential on the piano and all the instuctors were very enthusisatic and supportive of me.It was a wonderful feeling and helped to enhance my confidence and self-esteem.

Academics

I enjoyed my electrical classes they were very challenging and made me work hard to get through them .My music teachers were very dedicated and outstanding in giving instructions. I am still playing the piano this day because of what I learned at that time. The work load was what one might expect on the college level substantial but not overly so .You have to do the work to pass the class. The size of trhe classes were very managable, not too big ,not too small.Prorams at the school are widely diversified and there are a great many to choose from. Many of the classes are transferable to other institutions of higher learning. The professors seem to very interested in th wellbeing of there students

Campus Facilities & Safety

Parking at the central campus was always tight and difficult.Building facilities were being upgraded all the time. You have to be alert at all times because you are in a big city environment so you always must be vigilant and protect yourself by keeping the right company and not leaving your self or property exposed to attack.Take your time to choose your friends carefully, then move with your group and you will feel comfortable and safe.
