Overall CSU is a very interactive school. The teachers really care about your success and education in life. My advisor is really hands on with all of her students, she helps them and provide useful information.

Academics

The teachers are really challenging but helps you overcome all obstacles and the end. The class sizes are wonderful. no huge lecture halls. Smaller classes provides more interaction but you and the student.

College Life

Student life is great, you really get the full college experience. I'm very interactive with all of my peers, who are nice considerate people. I also attend alot of social activties to meet new interesting and helpful people.

Overall

When I returned to school I had little educatonal background. I was scared. I didn't think I could finish it. My math skills were rusty. I thought to myself how will I get a degree. I was lost. I wasn't doing so well at first. My GPA was dropping below average. I had to do something. I began using the student services there. I needed tutorng in math bad. I couldn't passed if it wasn't for them. Also the computer lab were benefical. The lab was open 7 days a week and open on Sundays as well which is what I needed. I had 4 children and worked full time so this school was just what I needed. It took me a while to obtain my degree but I did it. Thanks Chicago State.

Academics

Some instructors were really there for the students. They understood the diversity of student they taught. In most of my classes there were students much younger tha I was but there were a few my age as well. The instructors understood this and worked around our schedules. They were tough but they understood. The classrooms weren't over crowded but there were enough tudents to get a diferent view when it came to team work. I am very interested in going back there if tme permits.

College Life

I didnt spend much time on campus unless I was utilizing te labs, seeing the tutors or going to class so I can't mntion anything out of these areas. However I can talk abut the safety. I worked during the day and went to school at night. My classes started at 6:00 pm and in most cases I didnt get out until 8:50 pm. Security was everywhere ensring the safety ofthe students and staff. Chicago State is a very big University. The campus began at 95th to at least 97 or 98 street. The campus was well lit with bright street lights. While I was there I hadn't heard of but maybe one or two close incidents. I felt very comfortable leaving there at night. I would refer anyone to take night classes there with the ensurance of there safety.
