Reviews for Colorado Mountain College, Glenwood Springs
CMC is very helpful in several ways; personal connections, financial help and supportive. This community college is not only affordable but it provides such a caring feeling - you don't seem like just another student. Great, great college
The classes are small which allow for more personalized education. Teachers are also always willing to meet with you if needed after class hours and all my teachers have shown genuine care for me academically.
Campus Facilities & Safety
One of the many benefits of attending CMC is the number of beautiful locations which offer several different degrees to choose from. I absolutely love CMC and all the opportunities it has offered me in such little time.
I overall like colorado mountain college. It is a very down to earth school with lots of great teachers. I do wish they offered more degrees but since they don't I will have to transfer to another school for a radiology degree. I really like the hours of the classes because they fit in very well with my work schedule since I have to pay for my own college. They have a variety of options to choose from such as early morning classes or classes in the evening if you work during the day. Overall I think colorado mountain college is a great school for all ages and types of schedules that people need to work around.
My school does have several basic associates degrees such as an associate of science, but they have introduced two bachelor degrees. I wish that the school had more health programs to offer though. Right now there is mainly medical assisting and nursing degrees. The professors at this school are very knowledgeable and mostly easy to get along with. Most professors try to connect to the students to create a more positive learning environment. The workload is different for every class. Online classes have the flexibility of completing the work early which I like very much. There isn't a huge workload and the homework is easy to balance in terms of time spent at home completing the assignments. I really do enjoy the class sizes because there is usually not more than twenty five students in a class which makes it easier to ask more questions and receive one on one time with the instructor.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The campus is very small compared to most colleges but it is a very cozy and friendly environment. It is easy to make friends and I am able to meet a variety of different people without being overwhelmed. The campuses do provide parking but some of the smaller campuses such as the one in dillon have limited space, but I can still easily park right across the street, the campus does provide computers for students who do not have their own computers at home. As far as safety goes, colorado mountain college is one of the safest colleges in my opinion. There is no need for any security guards since summit county and the glenwood area is such a tight knit community, I even feel safe walking out to my car alone at ten o clock at night when my class is over.
