I like the school, however I don't like the town into the school. I feel that being a commuter it takes a while to get into the school because of the red lights and roads.

Academics

The professors are very dedicated to their job. The only thing I didn't like was that they don't offer a lot of classes to pick in the spring semester.

College Life

The campus safety is very good, and they make sure you are safe. There are a lot of clubs and activities to keep you busy.

I had a good first year at Bloomsburg University, but I'm glad I'm transferring. I made a lot of great friends, which was my favorite part about my freshman year. I hope I will have them forever. My most memorable experience was during my last few weeks of class. I went with my roommate, Sabrina, into the pouring rain. We ran around shoeless, jumping in puddles and enjoying some of our last moments together. We went on the quad which was , basically, a swamp after all the rain. We splashed, jumped, and rolled around in the foot of water that had accumulated. It made me feel carefree and young. My main tips for prospective students are to go to class and make some close friends. Even though I hadn't originally wanted to attend Bloomsburg, my friends made it so much easier.

Academics

The classes and programs are very varried. Bloomsburg is a great school for education and nursing, among other things. They offer so many different classes- I even took a fabric dye art class my second semester there! I had some really great professors, and some that I'm glad I won't have again! The workload is doable, and depends on your classes and major. I didn't have a hard workload either semester that I attended. I also had a mixture of huge lecture classes, where it was unlikely that your professor would know your name, and some very small courses, where you could guarantee your professor would know if you decided to skip out.

College Life

The social atmosphere reminded me a lot of high school. There's your great friends, some people you may not enjoy, and a bunch of people who are different than you. The difference is, you can talk to and hang out with anyone you desire. You can make friends from different backgrounds, majors, states, and even people who are completely different than you. I personally don't know much about clubs; I didn't want to overwhelm myself my first year. Organizations are everywhere, and for just about anything you could think of- such as Student Government, the TV station, or GASI, Campus safety is abundant. Police are always in sight and often in your dorms, collecting the rule-breakers. If you're doing something you aren't supposed to, you'll probably be caught. The athletics are alright. Since I don't really have any interest in them, I don't know much about it. However, I will say that the Rec Center is AWESOME. Weekend activities are typical of a college town- parties. While this might not interest you, there are plenty of things to occupy your time other than the night life.

I just attended my high school college fair. I met with a representative from your college. I am so excited to tour your school. I loved everything I heard about this college. I am interested in American Sign Language and Criminal Justice. I can't believe you offer both majors. The campus looks beautiful and I was looking for a medium to a large college and this is it. Tomorrow, I am calling to set up a tour. I was never so excited over any college. I think I just found out where I'm going! Thank you for providing me with all the necessary information to help direct me in the right direction.

Academics

In my high school, there are approximately 3,000 students. Class size ranges from 25 to 30 students. It is a big high school. Several years ago, they built an extension on to my high school as my neighborhood is growing. I have been lucky as all my teachers are very nice and well educated. I get about 1 to 1 1/2 hours of homework each night which is not bad. The high school offers lots of majors from Forensics to Robotics. I have been lucky and have enjoyed my 3 years here. On one hand, I will be sad to graduate and say goodbye but, on the other hand, I will welcome the next phase of my life.

College Life

In high school, I belong to many clubs such as Student Council and United Nations. I also play soccer and volunteer in a Nursing Home. I enjoy that because all these old people remind me of my grandparents who are no longer living. I miss them dearly.
